helping a freind he has a 730 paid off house etc when applying for his first cc with 245k salary

capital one wants w2s last 2 pay stubs n 3 mo of bank sttemnts is this normal?

never ran into this before multiple morgages car loans farm loans listed in his score.

It's normal and it's becoming quite common. Friend will not approved without complying with request, so they can either abandon this application or give Cap One what they need

I also wouldn't view this as unusual, especially given that this is their first credit card. It's great they have good payment history on cars, houses, etc.. but those are secured loans versus an unsecured / revolving account.

They may also be asking for income verification because of friend's pretty high salary and they were unable verify it when going through their usual channels (using The Work Number, LexisNexis, etc.).

This was my thought as well. A first card with that salary probably raised a proverbial eyebrow. Good luck to your friend!
