Bread Financial - How long for an update?

Hi folks!

I applied this morning for the Bread Financial Visa offered thru Comenity and I noticed a few hours later that they ran a HP on Exp. Do you know how long and how they update you as to whether or not you are approved?

I'm wondering if there is a phone number as well to check app status - I feel like Comenity has one, but not sure.

When you applied what status did the screen give you ?

All of my approvals with Comenity (3 cards) have been Instant Appprovals

It mentioned that my application is under review. I was able to get in touch with them by telephone; they told me that my app is in process and hasn't been approved or denied (yet). Fingers crossed. Rep mentioned I would receive a reply in next 7-10 days after manual review is complete.

They'll probably mail you a letter with a code on it to verify your address. When you call back in you tell them the address on their code. Also, be sure to make sure your credit files aren't frozen when you call in to give them the code because anytime I've done this "verification" with Comenity I get a soft pull alert from the Comenity app.

Every card I ever got from comenity was instant decision including the bread rewards amex this past saturday.

You didn't mention your DP's so it's hard to say and may not apply if you have a good, clean file. But with Comenity 7-10 days is usually not good.

What does this have to do with OP's question? Great for you that you get instant approvals but for many, verification maybe needed from Comenity and thus usually a paper is sent out. They want you to call in with that paper so as to prove you got it and continue with application.

I guess i am guilty of the same infraction since i answered the same as big seeger. i always got an instant decision which really doesnt answer the op's question.

Who died and made you King of FICO Forums? Don't like my answer pass it on by. If it was inappropriate report it to a MOD, but no reason to be a jerk! I was relaying as did others that lots...I dare say most all of Comenity's apps are instant approval or denials. I was relating it to his question, not that I have to explain to you.

He is giving out the information that a ten day wait usually means your application has been declined. They don't want to hurt your feelings by telling you immediately. We haven't heard back from the OP yet.
