Discover after burning?

Was wondering if it's possible to get back with discover after burning in BK7 and not repaying them? Or is the only way after repayment?

Pre qual always says previous relationship and then it said found offer but it was marketing due to 12-25% apr range.

Some get back in some don't. Only way to know is to keep trying.

I'm in the same boat but I didnt file for bk.just sat on all my credit card debt since 2015. Discover hasn't sold my debt from 2015. Still have my checking account with discover bank. I Still owe them and I can't get back in when I prequalify because they say to pay off the debt first on existing account. I'll get around to paying at some point!

I am in the same boat as well. Kinda started burning them in 2019 but I got quickly enrolled in their in-house payment assistance program where I was making regular monthly payments up until 2020 came around and exacerbated everything so ended up having to file Chapter 7 and IIB'ed them for a paltry $3k. Every prequal has been declined for "unsatisfactory previous relationship." You are not alone.

Use the pre qualification tool. I burned Discover for a lot (I don't remember how much, maybe $5000 or more). After including them in BK, I tried 7 years after the filing date. I was pre approved.

I filled out the app and was approved for over $13,000 which was higher limit that I had prior to burning them.

for fun, about the 9th year I submitted a CLI just to see the response and it was decline to "previously unsatisfactory relationship". Once my Chapter 7 fell off I've gotten small increases. You can only try

@Skye12329 @creditgnome, I defaulted in 2014. Never paid and got sued. Still didn't pay, and I got approved last month for an $8k SL. I'm assuming there are greater factors in consideration when they're reviewing applications.

Yea discover is pretty lenient. I am in the same boat but got sued by Barclays for their 5k. Still got the judgement but haven't paid a dime and no garnishment of wages. I never worked with the firm or gave any papers. The law firm doesn't even harass me anymore. Just waiting on everything to drop in October 2022 and February 2023. Then I should be good as new..all my debt was from 2013-2015. Only one I paid was Amex..about to get back in once I make the last payment on the 25th!

Yes.

I'm an example. Burned for about 8k in 2017 BK7. Prequals showed "prior relationship" decline reason until late last year about 4 years post BK7...got approved for 5k and at their lowest rate.
