PC Chase FF to CFU - what are the implications?

I've had a Chase FF for a couple of years now.

I was thinking of trying to PC it to a CFU for a couple of reasons - 1) I want another Visa so I can use it at Costco and 2) I meant to apply for the CFU in the first place (my error).

Has anyone been successful at doing this?

If the PC is approved, will it be reported as a new account and impact my AAoOA?

Unless policy has changed, you should be able to PC your CFF to CFU. And upon doing so, your account details such as time of opening account, credit limit, etc. would transfer accordingly. Hence, it wouldn't have an impact on AAoA and negatively impact your credit scores. It would simply be a product change only. And with that product change, you get the benefits of CFU instead.

Any chance you can just do a straight application becuz with the product change you forgo the SUB which I this case includes 5% ga for the rest of the year

I just did this too, the account age is suppose to remain the same but my card number did change.

Ooo, I didn't know that. I've had the card for more than 12 months so I'm not certain that will apply to me but thanks for the insight. 😀

apply for " Affinity FCU Cash Rewards and get 7% on Gas for the rest of the year. "

" + 7% on Groceries "
