topic paypal mastercard in Credit Card Applications

I was just on the PayPal site and got a pop up to apply for the PayPal Mastercard. I clicked on apply now to read more into it and saw that PayPal states "no affect to your credit score unless approved." I took this to mean that it's a soft pull app with a HP if approved but does anyone have any clarity on this with this card? Also it's Synchrony so I'm assuming they would only pull TU.

It'll be a transunion HP if you apply and get approved. I got the card last month.

it's usually a TU HP, and it's a HP if you're approved, there's no option to decline if you're approved and don't like the limit/APR you're given

Congratulations on your approval. Can you confirm what score they pulled... Was it a TU FICO score or TU Vantage Score 4.0?

They didn't give any indication of score or what type of score used.

Honestly I was kind of surprised I was approved, and with a $1200 limit, as I'm currently rebuilding, so my vantage 3 score at the time was about 610 and my FICO was about 603. Also have an unpaid charge off for another synchrony account still on my reports from 2019 as well as a paid synchrony charge off.

Just tried to apply and they said I need to unfreeze EQ.

Nevermind I unfroze EQ and reapplied they did pull TU but was approved with a SL of $8000
