Hi , i just apply for Amex Blue Cash for my mom and approved $1,000 and my question is thats no really low ? she have the scores between 790 and 800 and have 2 cards , Discover it with $10k and Truist EC with $15,000.

Congratulations! @gustcard88 The good thing is that you can request a 3x CLI after 91 days, then every 6 months. It'll grow fast with little use.

Congratulations on the approval! The reason for the low SL can vary, even if the individual has a high credit score. American Express looks at the credit profile, including the length of the credit history and any previous relationships with Amex.

@gustcard88 I also started with 1k, and now I'm at 20k CL with Amex, spend 500-1000 on average a month.

Congrats on the approval! Did you go for Blue Cash Everyday or Blue Cash Preferred? (both are solid cards).

It is pretty low and rather strange considering her scores and presumably long credit history, but for whatever reason she barely squeaked by. In any case, an approval is an approval, and as others have said, it can grow quickly. Congrats to DM!
