Thinking about Amazon Prime Visa

So lately I've been seeing multiple members succeeded in acquiring the Chase Amazon Prime card with a BK on file. I have a BK7 from 12/2014 still showing on my file (9 years). I did not include Chase in my BK7. Prior standard with Chase was you had to wait until the BK cleared to apply. My last App was the AMEX Hilton Aspire in July of last year, i'm 1/24 of Chase rule.

My question is, give it the old college try now... Or wait a year until my BK clears.....

We have seen recent approvals at 8 / 24. Amazon does Prime week around July 11 with Chase offering a $200 SUB during this promo.

However, it looks the SUB is now $275 all told.

Thus, if I were you, I would take a shot now.

This is off the website, acutally a $150 sub, with a bonus 5% for spending which they value at $125. But you're saying the Gift Card component has been $200 during prime week?

Yes the SUB last year was an Amazon credit of $200 (automatically applied after approval to your Prime account.)

However, right now the Amazon credit is less at $150 but you can get up to another $125 on non Amazon.com categories. How one earns this $125 is a bit more complicated.

@SouthJamaica I was going to jump on it, but now I think I will wait until the SUB goes up next month. I'll keep you posted.

OK good luck with it.

BTW I'm no expert but I don't think that 5% thing is really worth $125. Most of the stuff you would buy with it would probably get you 2 to 5% cash back on the other cards you would have used anyway, so I don't see where the $125 comes in.

BTW I'm no expert but I don't think that 5% thing is really worth $125. Most of the stuff you would buy with it would probably get you 2 to 5% cash back on the other cards you would have used anyway, so I don't see where the $125 comes in.

I agree that 5% bonus is propaganda and is not included as a SUB.
