I submitted for an apple card yesterday and about 10 minutes after it asked for my ID front and back. I have not heard anything since. Is thia unusual ? Anyone experience anything similar

they likely need some time to manually verify, you should get an email with the results and the opportunity to accept/decline the offer

Not uncommon for lenders to ask for proof of ID, or even income verification, especially with new customers.

They hate me for some reason. lol. I can NEVER get past the ID upload then wait for 3 days only for it to come back as we can't verify your ID. I have probably done this like 30 or more times. I think I am just going to chillax on applying until early next year. Good luck for sure!!

@Harvey26 My reply and experience may be unrelated to yours... but thought I'd ask... do you have Apple Cash setup and verified? I ask because I was never asked even when approved with low scores see post here. Assuming that getting ID verified with Apple Cash first may help identity authentication on the Apple Card since it's linked to Apple ID. Just a theory. I recommend the SCT to @TRC_WA who was approved a year to the date after me and I don't believe he had to upload identification, but not sure if he previously had a verified Apple Cash account.

@wxman2021 UPDATE: So i received the same messaged now admittedly the first pictures werent super clear. So I re did it again today and got the pictures as clear as possible.

@wxman2021 Received the could not verify idenity again. Went to apple.com and tried to do it via the website and was approved for 1.2K at 20.99%, froze my cr to avoid the HP. card accept and on its way. Hopefully the limit will grow. I want to purchase new phones sometime soon. Hope this helps.

Congrats!! Ya, I think I have applied so much going to give it over 30 days to reset the system. Great job tho!

Don't know if its relevant or not, but I read on two other sites that GS is stopping taking any new application for Apple Card, AND Apple is in talk with Amex as GS is terminating its contract with Apple as they lost more than $4B so far for issuing Apple Cards. Don't know how true this developing story is, though...
