I've tried searching but I can't find the exact verbiage I'm looking for. How often after the initial 90 day CLI can you request another CLI with Amex? I thought I had a good grasp on the subject, but I guess the info came and it went.

I haven't been able to get them to budge this year but was able to open a new account. However, from Octoberish 2021 to fall 2022, they were one of my main drivers and I was able to request 4 cli's within a 11 month period. So I think nowadays, relationship with them, spending and profile may outweigh the previous norms. But who really knows...

The last time wifey was approved for a CLI on her Delta Platinum was April 2023, so I planned to request again in October. I can happily confirm that the 180 days definitely aren't in stone; she was given a CLI of $25,000 to $30,000 !

Obviously everyone is different. I've had a relationship with Amex for over 25 yrs. I currently have 5 Amex cards, 3 personal and 2 Business cards. I use the Platinum and Blue Everyday card, pretty much daily. In general I don't carry a balance on any cards. This is pretty much the same with the Discover Card and Chase Visa. I generally will have a score of 800-815 at any given time. No days I don't even bother checking scores but a few times a year. Mortgage recently paid off, one car has 20% left on balance. Utilization is probably less than 1%. I swipe a lot on the 2 Amex cards, a lot. Probably 10K a month, often more. My Blue card CL has been automatically increased by Amex over the last 5+ years. It's currently $26,500. I didn't ask once. I think its simply because I use the card. I'm wearing cards out 2-3 times a year.

I would use and pay, use and pay, and wait at least 6 months before asking for a CLI.
also consider adding their Checking and HYSA. Making regular deposits no matter what the amount. Not saying this helps, but every time I call them about something they always bring up the fact that I have these accounts as well. I've learned over the years that with any credit card, no matter what CL you have on a particular card, if you're not exercising it it's worthless to anyone.
