Chase Pre-approval Site Still Down.

Several weeks ago I joined Chase's Credit Journey so that I would be able to get pre-approvals from Chase (as I have never had a Chase card of my own). I set a credit score goal, but that section of their site has been down since right after I set it. I also tried the pre-approval site and qualified for the Freedom Flex, Freedom Unlimited and Slate. When I went to check the next week, after a score increase (on CJ), I found the site was down. Several weeks later both sections still seem to be down. Is this common? Should I expect them to get fixed in a reasonable amount of time (a month or two)?

Hi I just log on to my chase's journey account it up and running showing that I am approved for bunch of cards and showing my credit score and experian credit report, nothing wrong with site.

It's not just you @ThomasJNewton I've had the same thing since last month even though I had a "preapproved" offer through Card Match for my CSP which I apped for through there and was approved for. I'm also seeing preapprovals for various Chase cards through my United and Marriot logins with higher SUBs but none through Chase or Credit Journey.

Does Card Match show pre-approved offers? I just see offers of card that "match my profile", but I cannot tell if those are supposed to be pre-approved or not. I sometimes run into website issues when firefox or one of the extensions I use updates, don't recall ever having that break chase though.

Maybe some update or setting (via update) change, etc?

Credit Journey functions for me as well as the direct links to preapproved cards on the landing page.

..selecting any of those goes to the acceptance page. Seems to be fine AFAIK.

I don't know what some of you guys are talking I can log on to my Credit journey account and see that I am already approved for all of the chase cards not even pre approved but already approved, could be your software on computer systems your using.

It is definitely not a browser issue as I have tried Chrome, FireFox, and Safari and they both fail in all browsers.

Not sure what that could be as it worked and then after a few days stopped working with no update on my end at all.

Credit Journey functions for me as well as the direct links to preapproved cards on the landing page.

The part of Credit Journey that I said does not work for me is the credit score goal system. I have never received an offer of a card in Credit Journey, although I did with the pre-approval site, and also have from Amazon and United.

CreditMatch (Experian's card tool).. I think it's the same as CardMatch (Bankrate's tool)? Difference is I know for a fact CredtMatch uses FICO 8 fro both Experian and Transunion combined. I had the CSP and CSR preapproval with a aspecific APR. Clicked though the offer and was approved with that APR and received that SUB which was better than I'd seen on the Chase site.

That is basically what I have received as well. I am just not sure that is based on actually doing a SP, meaning I am not sure it is really pre-approved.

OK I check the link you posted and and the site saids that the pre approval is not operating, but I am able to go to chase and log on to credit journey and see my scores and offers for cards.

I see my score on Credit Journey, but have not yet had an offer there. The first time I checked I was redirected to that pre-approval page and it was there I had three offers. Since then, I have neither received an offer via Credit Journey, nor been about to get that page to work.

I do get the same United Quest offer that @fury1995 got, but I cannot tell if that is a real pre-approval, or just a "we really want you to get our card and being a 1K, think you should have it" so I am not really eager to apply until I can tell.

Sorry, what I am trying to understand is does it use the phrase "pre-approved" or "pre-qualified" or just "Matched offers from our Partners"?

Neither seems to indicate pre-approved/pre-qualified, so I am not that confident. :-)

.. https://www.chase.com/preapproved IMO simply isn't a valid URL. ..offers appear to require sign-in to chase.

@ThomasJNewton I looked over the score planner from credit journey and don't see any links to offers within that space.

I'd never used that before, so I just checked all the boxes and progressed to the Goal Summary.

If within the assorted offer linkages there (drilling down in score planner results) fail too, maybe it's just a part of the site that is stale and hasn't been updated yet.

If credit journey -> offers results in zero offers then I'd assume scrounging for some alternative source for offers among chase isn't going to bear fruit.

@ThomasJNewton& @fury1995 I think it's safe to assume preapprovals are marketing only, not in the same rung as approved. I get the same things at Delta's portal for amex cards.. The solid (approved) offers ultimately are going to be born at FI website only.
