CHASE WEIRD APPROVAL - NOT PRE-APPROVAL

I opened a checking and savings account with Chase like 6 months ago.

Today when I login - I got "you are already approved" with stated credit line.

I have seen in the forums - people saying they saw pre-approval.

Have anyone seen this? -- "you are already approved" - I never applied

Most importantly, I burnt chase about 10 years ago big time during the financial crisis- so I am suprise they offer me with very big limits.

those are very likely pre-approvals esp with the green star and stated credit line, other than possibly needing to call in to verify yourself, I would personally be extremely confident in taking any one of those offers

Yes just pick a card you want and you will be approved. Enjoy. Obviously make usre you CRA's arent froozen

I am still worried that with my burning them in 2009 over 20K, they might figure me out and decline me (lol).

Although, I wanted Sapphire before, I already have Venture X.

That Venture X benefits is overwhelming, I doubt any travel card can match it.

I will investigate the Freedom and see if I will apply.

My feeling too. "No guts, zno glory" has been my life's mantra, as well.

I never applied.

i already have Venture X and I feel more comfortable with the benefits than any of Chase Sapphire cards.

i also have Bank of America cash rewards - which will give me more points than any chase freedom cards because I am a BOA rewads memeber

plus I just got AMEX card like a month ago and I have an additional capital one card.

in future , I ,\might go fo the sapphire card if I feel the benefits will outweigh venture X

that CSP with a 24k line looks delish! haha If you don't need it, don't go for it.. but remember it is GOOD to have back up particularly if you are relying on capital one LOL aka CRAPITAL One.

Hi, can I ask how much you put in checking and saving with Chase?

I already have a bank. I am strictly doing this to have a better chance with getting Chase credit cards.

There was a promotion for $600 ( open checking and savings)

so I open checking and deposited $1500 and set up just $500 direct deposit to meet the requirement.

i open savings and deposited 16K (minimum was 15K to meet requirement}

I have since got the $600 promotional money

checking = 200, saving = 300 , for opening both additional 100

I figure, since I burnt chase in the past, it won't hurt to see if I can get back using this approach.

as my first post shows, they definitely would have approved me if I had gone for any of their cards.

i am waiting for the day cap one will mess with me or I see more value in the sapphire cards, then I will drop cap one and go sapphire.

so far I can't justify having both cards with almost 1k total annual fee.

although cap one is very easy to recoup the annual fee ($300 annual travel credit). I might actually go for both.

i want to give chase some business
