Penfed CLI question

I know Penfed will only do a "hard hit" when requesting a CLI..... do they ever just grant one based on usage & credit history without a request?

And if they do..... I'm sure it is profile dependant, but is there any idea of what period of time might they? I would think it would be a"soft pull" Any information is greatly appreciated.

I don't think they ever do auto-CLI's.

I don't think they ever do auto-CLI's.

Make sure you are 0/6. They just declined me for too many accounts in the past 6 months at 1/6.

I've had a penfed card for 6 years and have never received an auto CLI

I have two Penfed cards with starting limits of 15,000 each. Neither have ever received an auto CLI, and I've never requested one because of the hard pull. I've heard somewhere on this forum their max card exposure might be 50k total. Not sure if this is accurate. They have two other cards but I decided not to apply for any more to limit my overall exposure to the two cards.

The first card I got two years ago. The second card I got last May, 9 months after the first card. I don't think I had any inquiries or new accounts over the previous six months or more when I applied.

Thank you everyone, I didn;t think they did either...... I just wanted to check with those that had more experience
