Synchrony & Citi - Pre-Approval Spree

I'm so happy to finally be back with Synchrony, and I may be able to get back with Citi.

I burned Synchrony for about 1k (PayPal MC and LOC) in 2021, and I am back with a PayPal MC with a 10k limit and, most recently, the Amazon Prime Store Card 3.1k after 2+ years of being unable to get back.

I burned CitiBank on their Costco Visa and Double Cash card for about 5k total and could not even get pre-approved for their Home Depot card, which I used to have but closed at zero before filing in 2021. I read is hard to get back with Citi but I guess they are more leniant with their c-branded credit cards.

Yesterday, I went on a "pre-approval spree" and was pre-approved for the cards I could not get pre-approvals for before. I did not accept any offers; I just wanted to see where I stand today. I will consider them in the future as the need arises.

Home Depot - 500 (low but a good way to get back in with Citi)
Lowes - 5,000
RoomsToGo - 5,000
Walgreens - 3,000
JCPenney - 4,000
CareCredit - 5,000

if you dont mind me asking, what are your scores like? just curious cause those are some good pre approvals. I never filed bk but i get so mad at myself for paying off 150k in cc debt and letting so many accounts close. For about 6 years i just didn't need credit and got so scared of racking up that much debt again.

Absolutely! My FICO scores hover around 715, and my Vantage scores are in the 730s range. I'm grateful for my progress since my Chapter 7 bankruptcy was discharged in June 2021. While I did burn a few bridges during my bankruptcy and had about 100k discharged, I'm now back on top. I don't carry balances and pay off my cards monthly. I certainly learned from my mistakes.

I legit just did the same thing after removing my TU freeze hahaha. Was fun!!!!! surprised at the wide range. chevron only 400 and car care credit 2400.

credit solutions will increase most of those hahahaaaa for sync b.
