Hey everyone,

I applied for pre approval for a value city card (synchrony bank) and was denied.

My Fico 8 are as follows

Experian 665

Equifax 662

Transunion 686

Overall credit usage 18%

Last late payment was over 3 years ago

No collections

Had 1 c/o that was settled/paid off 2022

Does anyone have any clue why I was denied? I'm closing on a new home soon and wanted to see if I had a chance at getting a new couch/dining set but synchrony is not on my side lol.

Do you mean the pre approval said no? Or did you apply and were turned down?

Will, the low score which reflects negatives on your report would be a good reason!

You probably want to improve your score to 700+ before apping for any cards.

Also if is best to app for any new card after your mortgage.

Are you other CRA's froozen being innovis/sagestream etc?
