Wells choice privileges CLI failure

Well decided to call in to see if I could get a CLI, talked to the rep who stated the request is now a SP and if a HP is needed we would let the consumer know.

Takes down my salary, mortgage info, extra money made, etc. Asks how much of a CLI I want, I state $35k. My current line is $2350, was $5k but Barclays are scum.

Proceeds to tell, she will be back in 2 minutes. Comes back and trasnfers over to someone that can tell me about my CLI, thinking I had it, ask why I was transfered over and the gentleman tells me, hes with underwritting and will pull a HP for request.

I said no, withdrawl request and inform your reps that a HP is not a SP as the rep never stated I was rejected on my SP or if it was even pulled?

Wells must hate the Barclays portfilio they took over, as they are even worse than Barclays when it comes to CLIs. I have 2 personal CCs and 2 Buss CCs and 1 BLOC and this choice card is a joke to even get a CLI

Sorry to hear that. I don't get what Barclay has to do with it. Isn't $2350 to $35k a pretty big jump? I was pleased to get 3X from amex, but you're asking more than 14X. Maybe a typo? I'm interested because I'm planning a cli request from wells. If I thought I had a chance at anywhere 14X, id take a hp.

Barclays used to issue the Choice card. OP's account must have migrated to Wells Fargo.

Co-brand cards (like Choice) are arrangements that normally have a defined end date. Before that date, negotiations occur and the two parties can either come to a new agreement or go their separate ways. If they separate, existing accounts are often (but not always) migrated to a new financial institution. Migrations can also occur through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

When I went on a credit spree I got approved with a $5K CL for Barclays, put a BT of $2500 on it, while I did other BTs to kill some high APRs on some AU CCs I was on. Barclays rechecked my credit 2 months after my credit spree and reduced my CL to $2350, pretty much maxing out my credit line and thus screwing my credit score by doing this. Yes they are pon scum, Now Wells need to do the right thing and remove the Barclays BS for those that have had that card for over 4 years like myself and give use a CLI on a SP as it does with other cards. No I did not get a $35k CLI, they wanted to do a HP, instead of a SP as the rep stated. Ive been in the garden for almost 5 yrs dont plan on any HPs anytime soon

I have the wells active cash visa with $8.5k. Do you think I have a chance at $35k if I let the scum suckers do a hard pull? Btw, I'm in the garden too, this my second month, only 30 days to go.😂😂

Barlcays are scum, Wells has been ok. As long its not a choice card and more Wells Branded $35k is CAKE with SP sprinkles lol

Admittedly, expecting WF to give you a 10X CLI is down right crazy...regardless of how good your score may be or where the account originated from. Even if it didn't come from Barclays and was their account to begin with....that request does lack rationale for the bank to approve

Its a good thing I wont listen to your advice on this one.....My other WF card autograph started out at $10k I asked for $50k they ended up giving me $42k... I did a thread of why one should always be asking for CLI in the Fico score thread....

Well, I think I know now why my CLI failed, seems WF is basing its takeover on the Barclays acquisition as a time frame vs when the card was opened?

Since WF took over the card, the card has been used to pay a monthly utility and paid in full every month. I guess the more you know with WF and how they do things with acquisitions, the more informed one is?

I have the same frustrations. WF wants a hard pull for both the choice card and the Autograph, but they have been open for a long time.

Are you sure for Autograph? I just asked for CLI 3days ago and got a $4k CLI with a SP, to get an overal CLI of $46k. Yes the choice is HP, but my 2 CLI for my autograph have been SP
