I have been denied the Chase United Explorer card because of the "Number of recently opened accounts on credit report".

In the last 6 months, I opened:
- Citi AAdvantage MileUp
Start date 4/7/24

- Wells Fargo Autograph Journey

Start date 3/21/24

When should I re-apply for a Chase United Explorer?

chase is interested in the number of cards reporting to your personal credit that are reporting opened within the last two years, how many is that?

if that number is 4 or less, call them and ask to be transferred to underwriting in order to reconsider your application

That number is 5. The oldest one in these 2 years is in 4/23/2023, so I have to wait May 2025 to apply for a Chase card. I read about this rule in the past but I forgot it.
