Recommend an easy sub card for me.

Looking for an easy sign up bonus since Barclays seems to be yanking my chain

I apped for the aviator red a couple weeks ago and they had me mail (yes mail, like with a stamp) a copy of my DL and SS card

they rejected the documents

so I sent new copies

now they say they never got the new ones

🤷‍♂️

Preferred report to be pulled ex or eq

Current cards, limits and opening date:

Lowe's rewards $35k limit, July '22

Cap1 platinum $300 limit, dec '21

Cap1 Walmart MC $2500 limit, July '22

Credit one Amex $800 limit, feb '22

Chase Amazon prime visa $12k, July '24

Suncoast cu visa $20k, July '24

FICO8 Scores, ex 750, eq 770, tu unknown

and showing a collection right now

Overall uti. 2%

dti <5%

Oldest account age: 3 years

Youngest account: 2 months

Chase 5/24 status: 2/24

Income: 125k

Average monthly spend and categories:

dining $200
groceries: $300
gas: $100
travel: 0
other: $500

Any suggestions?

I was thinking CFF
200cb/500 spend/3 months

but idk

i feel like I'll get slapped with a toy limit because I just got approved for the prime card July 3rd

Bank of America (just about any) but best one, Customized Cash Rewards. 1000 spend, $200 SUB

I've always found BofA the most lenient, great service. Churned them several times since 95. And they always treated me well. Now they are my long play, won me over, after all the abuse I admonished upon them.

Ohh, didn't see your suggestion, yeah, 500 spend for 200, awesome. Could always double down on the SUB and find a checking account that will finance opening with a credit card (no cash advance). I wouldn't be afraid of applying, I've done 6 new accounts in the past 4 months. If your going to abuse go hard and heavy in a short period, then reset (or as they like to say here, garden). Hard pulls, closing accounts, new accounts, who cares as long as you pay on time, watch your utilization, hard to screw up a FICO score. Your in the sweet spot on score.

I can't get into Credit Karma at work but if they are still doing the elevated $400 intro bonus (vs the regular $200) for their upgrade cards, it is super easy to get. Open an upgrade credit card, checking account, and make three debit card purchases. Easy $400.

It might be easier to first eliminate lenders which are unlikely to approve an application for you due to 2 new accounts within the last 2 months. Off the top of my head, you should forget about Capital One, Citibank, and US Bank.

The collection could also cause problems with some lenders. How old is the collection account, and did you eventually pay it off? If the collection is old and paid off, perhaps you could consider apping for one of the Amex Blue Cash cards. The SUBs require higher spend than the CFF, but the rewards bonus categories include groceries and gas which match up well with your monthly expenses.

Edit to add: Amex is usually an EX pull for your first account with them.

the links I found didn't work

tried with chrome incognito mode and DuckDuckGo private browser.

both loaded up with the 60k miles annual fee not waived

im gonna give Barclays until Friday to find my docs I sent them

then I'm gonna resend via priority mail with

Delivery confirmation so I know they got em.

Amex is out for now also.

tried the apply with confidence for the BCE and was denied due to not enough spend.

also I'm not necessarily going to app right away. I'm just trying to find my next card

I might have the patience to wait until the prime vs turns 6 months.

that would bring me to 1/6, 2/12, 2/24

If you are willing to wait it out until 0/12, the Capital One SavorOne is the same SUB as CFF ($200 for $500 spend). The grocery and dining bonus rewards categories fit your expenses.

Oh, right... the dreaded triple pull.

Well, now we've eliminated Amex, Barclays, Capital One, Citibank, Chase, and US Bank. The list of possibilities for good SUBs is dwindling fast. Maybe just garden for now on the credit card front? Some forum members like going for SUBs on deposit accounts. Is that something to consider?

Starting in jan my job is switching payroll services and we're getting direct deposit

so I'm definitely going to take advantage of some light deposit account churning

the new provider is said to have an online employee portal where you can view and print paystubs and w2s and update your own DD info.
