My P2 is coming up on their first CLI on Delta Gold. SL was $10k. I don't know if we should be conservative and ask for $20k or ask for 3X. We are trying to avoid a 4506-C as we are are currently "married filing separately" but used combined income for credit. But want the larger CL to pay for a few trips in full and hit the $200 flight credit early in the year.

Highest CL is CSP at $21k. 2/24 new accounts. 1/12 inquiries. 32% util reporting. Was at 40% when approved for the card. AAoA 7.5 years. FICO 8s 760-775.

For many, 35k seems to have been the Magic number for 4506-C. I would stay below 35k if you're nervous about it.

Do you have any other amex cards @tbgothard i? f no, ask for $24,500. That's what I did. worked out great and no FR. FR happens around 30k+ At one time I had around 31 or maybe it was 35k in Amex lines $24,500 on a blue cash card, 10k on a delta gold, and 1k on the old hilton and never got FR'ed bc at that time amex would only FR around the 30-35k.. like if you wanted to go higher than that. I never asked for any CLIs once I hit those limits.

edit: congrats on the approval! but be careful with any additional Amex cards for you are 11k away from a FR. lol
