Chase 7-10 Days

Thoughts on this app...have a auto loan and checking account with Chase and received some offers with green check marks that said I was pre-appeoved for a variety of cards. I've been looking at the Sapphire Preferred for a long time and applied to that since it was also "pre-approved." It thought about it for a minute then gave me a 7-10 day response time. Recieved an email shortly after saying they would be in touch soon. Does this sound like a denial? Also wondering if I should call one of the backdoor numbers. Appreciate any nuggets of wisdom!

Could very well be they simply need some verification of ID, etc... I'd give them a call.

Likely ID verification, as said above. Call 1-888-338-2586 for application status.

Even with a denial, I and many others have had luck with a recon call.

As stated above, call or wait out for the letter. Most of the time it is verification of ID.

Thanks for the suggestions and insights! Called the number and after a few minutes of holding I was approved for $12,500!
