And yes, its a true pre-approved offer with a code/reservation code. And I am not sure that if I am 4/24 or 5/24 when it comes to Chase, but I did apply for a Chase business card in last September and my application got approved. However, Chase requested me to go personally to one of its branch with business documents, but I was at abroad at that time. I returned back in November and they told me that the application could remain active only for 30 days, so that application got denied because of me not submitting requested documents on time. However, application did get approved, which seems I am 4/24. Since then I have not applied any card. Nevertheless, I am not sure if I would get approved for a Chase card, but I would give it a shot.

As for the Atmos card then I am staying away from any personal card as of now, but would make my mind very soon. I refrain those cards which have AF....unless its really worthwhile ...at least for the first year....Right now I have many cards with AF, but I would do product change on them once I would complete one year possessing them. I do have two business cards with Chase and planning on getting two more...

I guess it depends on how much you can comfortably spend in 90 days and how often you'd use that flight discount. Btw, I don't think business cards count toward 5/24.

Hello! e-zpasswv

Since you’re already at 5/24 and aiming for two more Chase business cards, taking the Atmos Ascent now would block you from Chase personal approvals for a year. The mailer’s perks (50% flight discount) are nice, but the spend requirement is higher than the public offer and the Summit card has a stronger SUB anyway. Unless you urgently need the travel discount, it’s better to hold off, secure your Chase cards first, and revisit Atmos later.

For that reason, when I was adding some Chase cards a few years ago I purposefully applied for the business card while under 5/24 and later applied (and was approved) for a personal card that would have otherwise exceeded 5/24.

Thus, need your personal opinions on it.

First of all, the offer states that I would need to spend $3500 or more in purchases within the first 90 days of account opening to earn SUB, but if anyone, including me would apply for the same card by visiting their site then minimum spending limit to earn SUB is only $3k than $3500.

I would get 50% global flight discount compared to 30% which is being offered thru their site and without any invitation/pre-approved offer.

Thirdly, I am thinking about their other card, Summit one, which has better SUB, so not sure if I would respond to this Ascent card.

Fourth, I am 5/24 right now and looking forward to apply 2 more Chase Business cards. So, getting this card would push me back for a year to get any Chase card.....

What would you have done in this situation? Its not that I do need this card or at least for now....but 99% of the time one does get approved if pre-approved offers are responded to unless credit is totally a mess.

Thank you...

Are you sure this is a true preapproval @Janneman instead of simply a marketing offer? Usually, a preapproval includes an invitation code or will appear on your lender dashboard such as how Chase marks their preapprovals. It could be just a marketing offer.

Check the fine print and see if the offer terms are all exactly identical. You didn't say the points you were earning so does that offer with the higher spend requirement have the same points awarded or is it higher? Or maybe the additional $500 spend requirement is the trade-off for getting the 50% versus 30% discounted fare. When I go to Bank of America for >that card<, I receive this offer:

Receive a 30% global flight discount code for a qualifying future flight after opening your new account. Additionally, earn 60,000 bonus points and a $99 Companion Fare (plus taxes and fees from $23) after spending $3,000 or more on purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account.

I found ANOTHER offer at >this link< that has seems to have NO discounted fare but has a higher point offer for $4K spend over a longer 120-day window:

Get 80,000 bonus points and a $99 Companion Fare (plus taxes and fees from $23) with this offer. To qualify, spend $4,000 or more on purchases within the first 120 days of opening your account.

Bottom line is that there are often multiple offers but sometimes they trade one incentive for another with varying stipulations. Which offer is better or more attractive just depends on your circumstances and how you calculate the value.

Yes, the Atmos Summit has a higher point SUB but that's typical for a card that also carries a heftier annual fee. The spend requirement is also higher ($4,000 over 90 days). And instead of a discounted fare, you receive a 25K point companion certificate. So the SUB is completely different and one may be more valuable to you than another.

Thank you so much.
