I tried to pre-approve for the Bilt Blue No AF card. I was denied with the following message:

"Thank you for applying for the Bilt Blue Card. Your application has been reviewed by our partner bank, Column N.A., 1717 Mangrove Ave Ste 100, Chico, CA 95926. Your application can't be approved at this time because:

- Number of debt counseling trades

If your financial situation changes, you’re welcome to reapply in the future."

For context, I completed my DMP of April 2024. Credit Score quoted on the application was EX 782

Are you a new cardholder or are you transferring from Bilt 1.0? If your transferring there is a transfer process that will start soon to review if the decision was proper so just wait 30-45 days. If your new then you will need to qualify based on the current strict criteria and they are looking for top quality people right now. A small blemish will cause denials.

Not a Bilt 1.0 cardholder, P2 (who was a Bilt 1.0 cardholder) was denied because "Unable to verify identity"
