American Express Blue Cash Everyday as first primary user credit card

WilI I be approved for American Express Blue Cash Everyday as my first primary user credit card? I've been an AU on my dad's platinum amex for 9 years. I'm in my early 20s and have a decent salary with a credit scroe of 729 solely based on being an AU. I have no other lines of credit or debt obligations.

I tried the pre-approval tool on the amex website and it said I'd be accepted, but I just wanted to ask the forum to see if anyone has experience with this or has similar experience with getting the blue card with a relatively thin credit profile. I don't want a hard pull on my credit without being accepted. Any guidance is appreciated.

I didn't think amex liked to be first, but their preapp. seems reliable. I wouldn't expect a big cl. That's not really a problem, Mark your calendar for 91 days and ask for a 3X cli.

Your credit score is over 720 which is a benchmark for better AMEX blue acceptance odds. A stable job income is important. How long have you been with your employer?

all amex personal applications are 'apply with confidence'

there is no credit impact if denied. typically amex requires at least some credit history, but no harm in applying to see. consider using your dad's referral link from his platinum to get him some extra points.

Good luck! Its a great card. That 3% on internet purchases can't be beat in many cases. For myself Amex heavy. You treat Amex well they will treat you well. If you end up getting it future Amex cards will be built on your relationship with Amex vice a hard credit pull as well. 3% back on gas and groceries is no slouch either.
