Freeze a bureau? Also, how do you freeze one?

Discussing freezing a report in order to force a potential creditor to pull another report is not a permissible topic on this forum.

Anyone have links to Credit Pulls Database that is easy to understand/reliable?

I just want to know if they ever pull anything besides EQ

They pull EQ04 reports

ETA: I've been a member of the Forums since 2012 and have never heard of them pulling anything but EQ (at least not since 2012)

I just got an approval with USAA, the def pull EQ. I had the other bureaus on ice when I applied.

I was approved friday night for their classic card $1000 SL. Pulled EQ. Have applied for other lines of credit in the past to no avail before I started really building and each time it was also an EQ pull.

That being said. It seems they are an EQ centric lender like Capital One or NFCU. {Edited}

USAA, as noted in the databases and from my own limited experience, reviews EQ. Technically when applying or other permissable purpose, the lender can HP any bureau they like, and there's not much one can do often to limit those requests. Some lenders will HP one bureau and also SP another bureau.

I see your point - that the bureaus don't all have the same information, and some bureaus retain differently because they can retain for as long as they want, and the rule states what must be removed in a certain timeframe. (derogatory information)

I can't talk to their inquiry sensitivity at USAA... I only applied for one of their products. I still have that card, but haven't gone back to ask for anything else.

Are they sensitive to utilization or inquiries? My utiliziation is around 50% and inq. high

They pull equifax for everything I have with them. I just got approve for a credit card last week they pulled equifax. My total credit utilization was 41 %. I dont know if they are inquiry sensitive because i only had 3 inquires which was comcast from last year july and bbt which was july this year and a mortgage inquiry from july.

I was just approved a few days ago and, like everybody else, they pulled EQ - which had 5 inquiries.
