Really BarClay???

So I was approved for 500.00 6 months ago and got a 200.00 increase to a total of 700.00 3 months ago when I called to verify my card for Applepay and I sent a message via Facebook asking about a CLI and she called this morn and said she would need to do a hardpull I agreed and she said an increase is not available at this time. I've PIF every month and charge 50% with no increase? Thinking about closing the card and that's exactly what I just sent her. Bill was due 3-20 and I just paid it off, now I'm thinking what my next move should be....

Still about the HP and no CLI..

Barclays typically hard pulls for CLI if you request one. I found that out first hand a few years ago. I Was irritated because it was on a RMC with $750 CL. I ended up closing it, then applied for Arrival+ a few months later and got $10k limit. I would have never applied for it had I kept the RMC open.

I just called UW and he said I was declined for too many new accts. I explained to him that I'm building credit and he said 16 new accts in 6 months looks bad but I'm doing an excellent job in paying them and keeping track of my spending. So he was no help but I think I'm going to put my BarClay card in the sock drawer since I have other cards with cash back rewards..

I believe its a good time to garden and improve the scores for a bit..this is the same advice im trying to follow It does look bad for us to continually apply so there is no way we deserve CLI unless we have gardened a while.

Yeah I've always lived off paying with cash. Just got my first creditcard Aug/14 and I'm 37 yrs old,LOL. But I've came a long ways in 7 months and don't ever intend to ever be late on any of them. Same for the wife and she just got approved for a AMEX PRG and Delta, along with her Discover so yeah we both need to garden and let my 29 INQ fall off...

I was just hoping BarClay would at least give me 1,500 so I can pay more bills without having to pay off the card and charge more.. Thinking I will pay bills with my QS which has 1.5% cash back on everything and let the BarClay sit idle for a while..

@Dodge, hey buddy don't sweat it. After that little spree you inspired yesterday, I appd for the Barclay Rewards. They turned me down for the same thing, 9 new accounts with perfect payment history. Recon didn't work either. Guess I'll "grab a hoe" and join you and Baller in the garden!! Lol

Can't say you didn't present a major UW risk for Barcalys OP. That's a little on the excessive side in their point of view, regardless if you throw them the rebuilding "explanation". 16 is apparently too many in such a short time period.

I did 2 in the same day and was freaking out. If I applied for that many in 6 months time not only would I have a heart attack but -308 would be my fico scores.
