Overstock.com Shopping Cart Trick...not really :/

The pop-up does appear if you checkout as a guest and enter an email address...wait a few seconds then it pops-up. It is not a real Shopping Cart Trick though because after you click "accept" it just takes you to the full application page. I tried in the incognito window using three different email addresses, and got the same result. I didn't take it though cuz it's a regular app.

Which bureau did they use for the SP? How high is your score for that bureau? Thanks in advance.

I got the same pop up and filled out the app and it was a SP for me, that was 30 days ago.

They SP EQ. for me which I think at the time was right at about 650. It's higher now by about 10-12 points and still can't get the Sportsman Guild or Total Rewards to pop up for me.

also when you see the pre-screen opt out message, that is the pre-approval and usually means sp with comenity.

It worked for me & my Husband today. We both got approved for $500 each, I set up accounts for the both of us right away & hit the LUV button immediately! I was able to get another $200 increase, $700 total limit for each of us. Not bad. Hoping they're super generous with their LUV!

Have you clicked on the "Overstock Store Card" button during checkout? It didn't appear until I did that.

I'll try again next week because I'm still within 30 days of when I applied and took a hp and when my EQ report was still not corrected by EQ, so I think I'm just locked out of most of the comenity pre-approval systems because it's not softing my reports ANYWHERE.

Mine was a soft pull, 2000 credit limit. I went ahead and hit the cli button and now it's 2200.. lol I used to LOVE Overstock. Back in 2005, I bought a ton of stuff on Overstock. But, then I got so mad at them for declining me for their card that I never shopped there again. I guess it was FNBO at that point? That was when my credit was great.

I already earned $8 in rewards on stuff I was going to buy anyways and probably would have paid more for had I bought it anywhere else.

Don't feel bad CA!!! I tried not too and nothing for me either!!. I cleared all history, cookies, etc... And clicked on the overstocked store card under payment like the others did, and still nothing. I've had the page up for 10 min now, lol!!!

I got the popup too and was approved for $2k. Setup my account and hit the CLI once to get bumped to $2,400. No more CLI after that try. I believe it was a SP as all other popup pre-approvals I have received before.

If it makes you feel any better, I CANNOT get Sportsman Guide. I have tried to 'Shopping Cart Trick' that so many times that it is a bit ridiculous. I wish I knew what the rhyme or reason was behind the shopping cart trick.
