Hey guys,

I received a pre-approved letter from First National Bank Omaha. I live in FL so I am not sure how I was pre-approved because I do not live in the areas allow to apply.

Anyway, letter states that the APR is 11.9% Platinum Edition. 1 point for each $ and 0% intro APR until June 2016. Plus there is no limit to cash back.

I am not sure who they pull- I did some research on CB and nothing is coming out for FL. The letter has an access Code and Reservation #, Prescreen & Opt-out-Notice on the bottom of the letter.

I am not sure if they give nice CL to start with or if the are INQ sentitive or conservative. I have until May 4th to apply... any one of you guys have any experience with them?

FNBO is a very decent lender, and while they may be somewhat conservative, they do grow fantastically. The majority of their pre-approved offers are very solid. An item to keep in mind, most applications go through manual review so it takes a bit of time to learn the final status/CL of your application. Also, they can be a bit skittish - in other words, they do not favor a lot of new accounts, high utilization or excessive inquiries during the time you establish an account with them. Some folks have gone on sprees after getting FNBO only to be shut down.

Their pre-approved mail solicitations typically target individuals from outside their service area since most cannot apply directly for their products unless you are within their lending footprint. You would also want to evaluate whether this card fits your portfolio and if so, go for it!

The limit of a FNBO card can grow very rapidly as well, you can call in every months and see if there is a SP CLI waiting for you.

As you can see, I applied for 2 different FNBO cards. I was denied on 8/20/2014, and on 12/14/2014 they gave me a SavingStar.com American Express credit card with $9800 starting credit limit.

They do take their own sweet time to review applications. About 3 business days.
