Barclaycard Rewards MC

Credit Karma says that my approval odds are good for the Barclaycard Rewards MC. However, they said that for various Cap 1 cards and I was denied. Thankfully they were soft pulls. My VT scores are TU 642 and EQ 645. However, I did burn a cap one in BK 7, discharge 1/15. Is it too soon to app for this card, should I wait 6 months? How reliable is Credit Karma. I hear Barclaycard pull TU, my fico TU is 605 (rebuilding). Any advice would be helpful.

CK gets paid to offer cards to you it cannot be relied on for accurate info. Since you burned Cap-1 and the discharge is recent I would not app until after one year has passed and with some people its longer but at some point you will be allowed back in.

i wouldnt apply for a Barclay rewards MC until my TU were atleast a 640-650... then if you get denied, you could call the recon line and have a good case for them offering you a credit line.

How many cards, if aany, do you have right now?

If the answer is 0, or if your longest card is under a year old, you will be denied for Barclays (I've tried, similar score range as you).

EDIT: Didn't see the TU. Barclays almost exclusively pulls TU. You need to get it up 40 points before having a shot.

Ok I will wait. I only have the credit one platinum visa at the moment with $300 limit

If you just had a recent BK then most lenders won't even want to look at you. Give it some time and try to get secured cards to help your profile out. Make use of the card and make on time payments.

I will say when you do get in with Barclays if you treat them right, they will def. treat you good.

I agree with the other posters. Give it a little more time. Although the Barclay Rewards MC seems to be the easiest barclay card to get, they dont seem to like reports with too new of baddies.
