I did CapitalOnes credit card pre approval link,,, (I have a 785 credit rating & cards with a 6.5% rate)

They offer a card with a 24% interest rate!

Now I REALLY do know why CapitalOne ISN'T in MY WALLET! LOL!!!

I've never got a pre-approved offer from CapOne and I have 3 cards with lower rates than that.

Don't ever try Discover's pre-approval link... you can type in your dog's info and get an approval.

All my pre-approvals with Cap one (Prestige, QS, Venture) had interest rates between 17-19 percent. I have several cards with them, maybe that factors in, but my credit is worse than yours so I'm wondering if your experience was just some kind of error.

My only Cap 1 card with an APR of 24.9 is one of my Quicksilvers (PC'ed from a QS1), I got that card when my scores were around 595-605 across the board. My latest card, Venture, has an APR of 17.9.

I closed my only Cap1 (QS One) card a few months ago, just days before the Venture craze hit. I did their Prequal last week and what did it show? QuicksilverOne lol, with the $39AF, and the Platinum. I have cards with $20k limits and TU hovering around 700. Gotta love Cap1...or not.

I dunno maybe they are po'ed at me for getting rid of a CapitalOne card that you could never get a credit line increase with a few years ago. Oh well their loss is my gain! LOL!!!
