Lowes Approvals?

Hello all,

I recently applied for the Lowes store card, I received the 4-5 day message. Has anyone ever experienced an approval with the email response?

I'm starting to think that maybe I should have waited to apply. The end of March I'd say I was upgraded to my GAP Visa for 3k, then they increased my Banana Republic by 300 making it $600. I took the plunge and applied to Amazon and was approved for $900. I then applied for JCPenney a few days ago and recieved $500. I really want the Lowes card to purchase new appliances for our house. If denied, how long would you advise to wait before applying again.

I'd also like to know for those who've been approved for the Lowe's card, what your scores were like?

I am applying for this card Wednesday afternoon when I close on my house.

Scores are below. From what I have seen from many others, they should be good.

What are your scores and do you have any derogs?

I was flat out turned down. Called immediately and told it was because I closed down a Lowes card within the past 12 months. So I got a HD card with a CL of $10k.

Congratulations on the new house! Good luck with your app.

My TU FICO score was 674 on the 21st of this month before applying for the JCPenney. I have no idea what it is now. The only thing negative on my report would be inquiries and high utilization on some of the cards.

Im sorry you didn't get it but Congrats on HD that's a good starting limit! Who are they financed by?

Citi finances the HD card.

WOW! that's so weird I hear ppl saying HD is harder to get than lowes - I'm in the same boat, I plan on applying when I close on my home (5/22) I only need about 2k limit.

I guess it's a hit or miss with either.

HD is Citibank, Lowes is Synchrony

$10,000 SL for a Home Depot card is surprising given Citibanks' conservative nature. They also pull Experian

Lowes can start with a low, limit, I guess that's why they call it Low'es in the first place. But the great thing about them is you can just hit them up in Chat and request a CLI from your low lmit. Tell them you are remodeling your kitchen or whatever and and want to buy it all at Lowes.

I started with a $700 CL. I bought a jug of draino. 5 months laters I asked for $25K and they asked me if $17K was OK, I said, "YES".

Wow 17k that is amazing!
I wish I was lucky like some but I was denied unfortunately. How long would you suggest waiting before trying to apply again
