Walmart Mastercard (Synchrony) CLI?

I know that there probably already is a post for this but what is everyone's experience with Walmart Mastercard CLI? I just apped for one and it cost me a hard pull and it was declined?? Today was my 1 year anniversary with them and my limit is $500 and i use the card and PIF every month some times 2 times a month and still no increase? Whats going on with this?

You ask for chat ? with them you ask every 4 months and get a increase.

@I'm going to assume for the sake of argument you meant to say your current CL is $5000 (not $500) given that its the MC version (I concede however that anything's possible). Furthermore I've never heard of a CLI request with Wally resulting in an HP. Nonetheless prior experience between card issuers is no guarantee that you're going to achieve the same/similar results. However as a general rule Synchrony is fairly generous with CLI's. That said if you've been stuck @ the same limit for a year my suggestion would be to hit them up and simply ask HOW u can best qualify for CLI. Without knowing your specific (credit) situation thats really as specific as anyone can be. Good luck.

Wal-Mart in my experience was always my least growing Synchrony card. I'd call Credit Solutions and see if they can bump you up. Ask for $15k and they might counter. If not, go ahead and close the TL if you don't find the card useful anymore.

Where did you see a HP for the CLI on this card? As others have mentioned, typically CLIs for Wallys (store or MC) are usually SP.

Yea, I agree. Should be a SP.

FWIW, I have the best luck with the automated phone system. Just call the number on the back of the card and after it asks if anything else say Credit Limit increase and follow the prompts.

The LUV button sometimes works, but i find the auto phone system to work best.

If that doesnt work for you call them then.

But either way, auto phone or LUV button, should be a SP.

The only Syncrony account I know of that cost a HP for CLI are those that have have the log in on the main Syncrony page.

What I mean is, like Walmart, Lowes, JC Penny etc all have thier own log in page associate with the store.

But accounts Like Sweetwater Music, CareCredit for example are at the main bank page. THESE require a HP for CLI.

No $500 is probably right. That was my initial limit with the Wally MC. Luv button is always a soft Pull

Yea it is $500 and I called in over the phone and they said they did a hard pull. But I guess they didnt because i don't see it on my credit report. On the upside i was approved for another acct.

Just put some moderate spend on it and then try again in another 4 months to see if it's elegible for a CLI. You can try the chat option or Credit Solutions at that point.

I've seen over and over on these boards that Synchrony gives very generous automatic CLI. Over a year ago I applied for the Walmart store card and was surprised to get the Walmart Mastercard in the mail. I was even more surprised to see it came with a whopping $150.00 limit (yes, one hundred and fifty). I called UW and asked for $1K and was declined. I pressed the "luv button" today and received "this account is not eligible for a credit line increase".

I don't get it. Since the limit is so low I pay it in full every month. Sometimes twice. What could possibly be the deal?

Synchrony is Gold! I received my Walmart master card last June with a 1200 dollar limit and 3 months after having it the bumped me to 3000k with the luv button....4 months later they bumped me 5000 exactly 2 months later 10000K...I also have a Chevron visa had it for 5 months already at 10000! 2 CLI in less than 5 months. TU 754.
