Chase will they deny me?

Ok so heres the story. So when my identity was stolen years ago there were accounts opened at Chase in my name and they were closed and charged off So i called tried to fight them because i was 16 when they were opened and they ended up not finding in my favor idk why but tbh i didnt care because there are alot of banks. But i called them last week and paid off the 2 charged off accounts because i want to get the United Card with them. So my question is because those 2 cards charged off in 2010 and then i just paid them like a week ago will chase give me a account or will they say you had 2 charged off accounts? Also even tho Chase didnt find in my favor in there systems they ended up removing the accounts from my 3 credit bureau reports in 2011 so there not on my credit. What does everyone think? Should i give it a shot or just screw it?

Chances are slim... I would of filled a police report, did you do this at the time? Essentailly also by paying off those accounts you are accepting guilt or basically saying they were yours.. That Is just how I look at it.. If you do have a police report and other supporting documentation you might have a chance otherwise, I doubt it.. Doesn't seem to add up and doesn't seem like your followed through the right channels to get it addressed when it really happened.. It woudn't be with just chase that you had to deal with during that time. Just my thoughts on it.. Others might have different opinions.

If you happen to apply it will deffinetly be a manual recon involved as well as if it is that recent, then I can almost gurantee you are on the crud list.. At least you have it off your CR and plenty of other lenders out there if you can't get back with them

Yea i did file a police report and submitted it to them. The problem was I had a auto loan with them in 2011. When my uncle opened all the stuff in my name in 2008 - 2011 he lived with my mom and I so when i called Chase and told them everything. They came back and said so the Auto Loan is fraudulent I said no the auto loan is mine. They said the credit cards and Auto Loan are both at the same address. So that proves that I opened the Credit Card accounts. Even though i submitted the police report they didnt care they already had there minds made up. Same Address, Same Home Phone Number. Its like if i didnt get that auto loan from them at the end of 2011 then they would have done it right but they kept tying the 2 together. Since you did the auto loan you must have opened the CC accounts a year prior.

So even taking all you said as the god honest truth. i would say your chances are slim to none. and for many years to come.but good thing in your favor is you paid them off. still does not mean they will forgive you. even when items come off your credit report. only way to truly find out. is to first go to pre qual. if nothing. just app. good luck.

So it was your uncle that created fraud under your name? Just didn't want to press charges against him? Correct me if I read it wrong. Anyways, doubt it will change anything for the next say 5 years... Others will weigh in later tonight that have "burned" chase before and paid them off in the future. I understand you didn't, but this is how chase is going to see it.

If the accounts have been removed from your reports and have been paid in their system, you should be fine. What will probably happen is you may not get an instant approval and may have to talk to an analyst to manually review it. If notes were added to your old account, they will see that it was not your fault.

So give it a shot as you have nothing to lose. You won't know the answer until you apply. The good thing is now you have a chance to expalin to someone if you don't get approved online. Keep us posted if you apply..

The problem. According to op. The accounts are not removed. As chase did not beleive him. He simple paid them. Charge we guess. But it just does not add up to be frank. So op was 16 when this happened. 5 years ago. Now 21. I guess. But also for car loan at same address as credit card. So again. Chances. Slim to none.

Yes he is.. But if people who have burn Chase by filing bankruptcy can get in with them, then it is fair to say OP has a chance of getting in also...

Agreed. Mop has a chance. That's why said earlier. Only way is to apply. But as far as chances. We are saying. Even those people who filed bk. Wait years to get back in. But. Like you said. Go for it. Then it will end the doubt from op's mind. But that's exact why I said slim to none. But it is slim chance of success.

Can i upload the police report on here lol I am so telling the truth its not that i didnt want to press charges.. I didnt know it was him until he told me before he died... I know it sounds un realistic but its the truth he died of Colon Cancer at the end of 2012 and he told me and my mother that he opened stuff in our names and we found all the stuff at his house then we reported it to the police but he passed away before he could be prosecuted.

Yes it all depends because he opened stuff in my name at BOA to and i submitted the police report and stuff and they ended up removing it from my credit and stuff and found in my favor but said that i would never be able to do business with BOA ever again. Which explains why BOA kept closing my accounts because i tried to sneak by and they caught me so i have to admit that is all on me for my BOA accounts being closed.

So I just saw a few of your threads going way back and most of your accounts have been closed by the various credit card companies even CAP 1. When you started this thread, you said someone - your uncle stole your identity and is now passed away.

Why did you file a police report if you co-signed and knew what you were doing? I am not accusing you of anything but this does not make sense.

I filed a police report because those 2 accounts weren't the only accounts there was 4 accounts total with chase. Also he opened other stuff in my name without my knowledge. I.E bank accounts, he had a mortgages in my name he had a couple auto loans in my name. All together i owed Chase over $60,000. I think that's why chase gave me the 2 cards i cosigned for because he already had those 2 cards in my name for 2 years prior you know what i mean? So its not like i used the police report for just these accounts it was for other accounts at other banks and loans and allot of stuff. I have just a very complicated life and my uncle screwed up my life that's why i come here to talk to you guys and get advice and help and help other people out. My grandparents put me on there cards as AU to help me out. I know people probably think I'm lying but I'm not but its really up 2 you to believe what you want to believe. Because think about it in 2011 i was 18 why would chase let me cosign on a credit card with him if i didn't have any credit so he was building my credit for years before i was 18 without me knowing and then tried to use me to help him get more money and then destroyed my credit. Sorry guys not trying to yell at anyone just trying to get understood and get opinions on what to do.

Credit - Don't be sorry idc that hes gone to be honest he left a big disaster not just for me but for a few other family members of mine.

I'm going to apply on Monday and I will keep everyone posted on what happens when i call in. I have to call in regardless I never get auto approved because of my Fraud Alerts and Security Freezes on my credit. But I will keep you guys posted!
