I reached my maximum card limit with Amex in 2013. I've reallocated my credit line to focus on two BCP cards. That left me with two $500 Amex cards. I'm considering closing those two and apping for another Amex card. I have 26 Inquries on EX. My payment history has been great with Amex and they have made plenty of fees from merchants from my usage of the PRG card. Any thoughts?

I also havent noticed Amex as inq sensitive for new accounts. However they take notice of other new accounts when it comes to CLI so if I could manage to garden for 6 months would probably have better results on that front.

I went ahead and took the plunge and closed the Bue Cash Everyday and applied for the Hilton Honors Surpass since I already had the SPG previously. Amex used to say if you had the product in the last 12 months you were not eligible for the signup bonus. Now Amex said if you've ever had the product, you're not eligible for the signup bonus. Since I had the SPG (the card I wanted) previously, I opted not to go for it this time. Anyhow, I didn't get approved. It just says they'll let me know once they make a decision. No HP either so it sounds like a denial on a SP. No harm, no foul.
