What credit cards to apply for?

Anyone have any suggestions on where to get a credit card from? Credit Unions? Banks? Anywhere? Just want some input.

What's important to you in a credit card? APR? Rewards? Type of rewards? Balance Transfers?

With the recent closures from FNBO, do you really want to do that?

@ADARPegasus,

We have done this over and over again. The people on this board genuinely want to help. What is going on with profile? FBNO closed your accounts, all other account closed as well.

People here are very smart and are going to figure it out eventually even with the new username. I think your best bet right now is to start afresh and get some secured cards.

What type of the cards are you looking for? Cash back, points or BT? Visa, MC, or Amex?

Yes its me.. Not all my accounts are closed?

Ron1. I like travel rewards usually or cash back. Or even just low apr. Something to establish more credit.

Sorry to hear. I feel your pain. It happened to me a few months ago. Have you tried BofA or Chase? They have Cash back and travel rewards.

If you have some then build on it and work on whatever is spooking these lenders. If it inquiries then let them age and try again. Based on our last conversation, I want to firmly believe there is nothing going on but something in your profile is bothering them.

So take time and resolve any issues instead of trying to get more cards. The last thing you want is to rack up more inquiries and then risk your current accounts being closed as well.

A week or 2 ago, most of them you applied to approved and then shut it down. Amex cancelled everything. So don't apply and work things out.

I'm not one to usuall post anything negative, but..... after reading through this post, some of the comments here pushed me to read some of the OP's other posts. I've got to say that there's something wrong here. Between FNBO, PenFed and the comments about the lender calling all the other lenders for "pyramiding", this just does not sound right. Either the OP is just very unlucky with lenders or...... possibly trying to get attention. If I am wrong, I appologize, but this is how it seems. There always just seems to be a story behind something and you have admitted to posting stuff for attention in the past.

His posts go way back to 2011.. Even then accounts where being closed, car repossessed etc... Just 2 weeks ago, he said he wanted a fresh start as he embellished a bit. Fair enough- We all make mistakes...

Then it starts all over with these threads. We want to be nice but we also don't want to be considered fools who have been had by someone whose stories don't add up. I am sure our time can be well spent on other threads helping people out instead of this constant drama.

I tried to follow his post. There's a lot of thread. I know he did in a hurry. I did that too sometimes. I don't know he's lying. He applied too many apps in a short time. Banks thinks he tried to cheat him. He tried to make his loss. I understand. Most of the times, I cannot make up the loss. I tried to help him yesterday. I am happy for him. He got approved for Bank Of the West Visa.
