Bank of America...Help?

So yesterday my credit was pulled to see if they could upgrade me to the non partially secured no annual fee cash rewards card and the rep said any application between now and 30 days will use this same report so if you want you can apply for the no annual fee card and see if youll get it that way. So I did..denied. I wanted to be sure they used yesterdays report like she said and today the rep I talked to said oh no sir every new application is a new credit pull we dont use the same reports no matter how new they are. So burned twice by BoA in 2 days..

Do you have monitoring? Keep an eye out for another pull and if it happens, call and complain. They record calls and you should be able to have the inquiry removed.

I have a completey unrelated question about BofA that maybe someone here can help with. I got declined for their Cash Rewards card a week ago but out of curiousity, I just went back to see if there were any pre-qualified offers and an offer for the same card I was declined for comes up every time. re these pre- quals fairly accurate? Is it worth a recon? I have had ZERO experience with BofA.

I would never suggest applying for an unsecured card if your application to unsecure a secured card was declined.
