time before I should try again?

current Equifax is 696 on myfico. the denial from amex was 701. I have 11 inquiry with three recent cards now reporting into the second month. the denial stated to recent accounts and not enough accounts in good standing. ZERO bad marks on my reports. one revolving account has 19 months of on time, never late. credit age is 13 years with average age of 4.5ish. utiity is 2% overall with no single card over 1%. OBVIOUSLY I need to garden the new cards I have and create some history. when I reconed I was told I have the scores, but no solid cc history. so the question is, what time period should I wait before attempting to go for a amex or freedom again?

You have a good AAOA, I would wait 6 months and you'd probably be good. Don't add any inquiries between here and then.

@I agree with @SecretAzure here. I'd give it 6 months before applying again. Sorry about the denial.
