Take it or leave it?

So I was bored, not tired. I always run through the pre approvals to see if I can get approval for the CSP or the CDC. I decided to check out Cap One since it's still a no go with the others. Got this. It's another Visa Sig. Anyone just app for this and can tell what kind of SL they got? I'm trying to replace the Platinum Prestige with something better. I seem to have a good relationship with them right now. 10+ years & they're treating me pretty well.

You seem to already have the venture, I wouldn't app for QS.

try and get a Cli on your prestige and then try to get it PC'd to a QS.

Your post made me curious. I cheked the pre-qual site and got the same offer, which is hilarious to me because I NEVER get pre-quals or pre-approvals on anything. I am not apping for it either. Would be nice to have a Visa, since I don't have one, but I don't need it.

I agree with all those good folks above .... get a 2nd Venture if you've had your origina Venture for awhile.

I got my 2nd Venture like 2 weeks ago.

Haha! Went to bed!lol I just got my Venture 5 weeks ago. I think that is why they're showing the QS sig? You think they won't go too high with the SL on this? If I take this, it will be 4 & I would like a cli but never get much fromt them that way. So was thinking take this & roll it over into my other QS with only a 2k limit? Can we have 2 Venture's? K. Going out for a bit. Be back tonight. Sorry for the disappearing act in the early am. Cap, the Cap One site does work. I always check it along with Chase & Citi. So if you got a pre-approval, it's for real. Go for it. They seem to be number 1 right now.

One thing you should be aware of. The image is of the Visa Signature, but that doesn't mean you'll get the Visa Signature if approved. If the SL is less than $5K, and many are, it will be the Platinum.

You can't combine Capital One limits, at least not yet.

It's a chance then? So 2 Venture's instead of 2 QS's? I want another sig card for business. You know I called and asked to change the one Platinum to a QS and they did. But that is different than taking the balance on one & putting onto the other. I see both of your points. Decisions, decisions!

I don't get the "get two of same cards"......I'm more of, "been there, done that.....next!" Skip it.

Some people get the same of the 2 cards for the limits and to pad utilization... It is not for everyone but a good decision on some part. For example, if someone has 2 cards with $500 limits and can get 2 ventures with 10k limits on each card, that is certainly a decision as that will help the applicant.

I can se that,but it all depends. For me I would have to go with the Venture One to have a card with no AF and zero interest for a year to match something like Freedom card. My credit scores were bigger picture and it seems all I needed was just one card at high limit mixed with two other decent ones. Getting two Venture cards would not be as appealing to me. I don't need padding because I'm not one to carry balances. If I need to carry balance then the first thing I want is a card with no or low interest at first.

Yep, for you it may not work. Everyone's situation is different hence their decision to get big limits.
