AMaZon chase visa denied!!

Apped for this card on Thursday got under review and I called in the next day to UW first chase recon and got this really nice old guy I say that cuz I could just tell sounded like my grandpa but he came back after a few mins and said I would like to approve you but you just have too many new accounts try back in a few months and let those age and you should have no problem getting on board haha on board I was like ok thanks bye. I'm going to try again here any advice I know chase is sensitive on too many new acc. Etc just like Barclays any advice maybe I'll just keep calling until I get the right person.

Depends on your whole credit profile.. People with not as strong profiles they are sensitive on new accounts others with very thick files they will overlook alot of new accounts. Alot of factors go into approvals and/or recons.

Before we tell you to continue reconning, what are your scores and how many new accounts do you have? Also, are your reports clean - free of baddies?

Chase seems to be quickly becoming more and more new accts sensitive. But I agree with Yes it's Me, some info on your reports might also be an issue. Usually it's more than just one thing, but not always.

In my case i app for chase freedom and denied , i call for recon and say the same thing , i have 2 new accounts and wait some tine to see how they go and try again.

i do have a lot of new accounts since January. I have a couple med collections one paid other unpaid and a 5 yr old satisfied judgment and it's actually delinquent from 2006 they waited till right before sol ran out do its been on my report forever. I got two tax liens from 2006 state ones on their that are released but still there tryn to get off at moment got them off the other two but ex is being retarded as usual k thought Eq was hard but they actually investigate . What's funny he didn't mention anything about any of my derogatory sim sure they playdd s role but I did get the store AMAZON it seems I can get approved for any sync product.

How many is a lot? I heard some people are getting told by Chase they look back as far as 24 months for new accts. I really think that those old negatives plus the new accounts is what is making them uneasy.

Agreed... A lot can have different interpretations for people. So OP be specific for best answers if you don't want us to guess.

How many are new (six months and scores?)

I was approved for amazon visa last montb with 10 accounts since january and tu fico 720's EX 660.

you are going to be running in circles on this one.......new accounts, will be the reason by one, baddies are gonna be the reason given by another, and both are going to be reasons given by still another. I think you need to concentrate on cleaning up your report and letting things age a little as you were told by the old man.

Yea I might call back again and try but maybe not! It's not going to kill me I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I have cleaned up my reports about as much as I possibly can. Can't get a pfd for this last med CO and the paid one already tried goodwill so whatever.. It sucks I wish I could get them off. My score would be awesome. I might try and recon again just for exp points I did with Barclay and it was my first and only recon besides this and I was successful with them. If I run in circles Owell! Atleast I can say I tried and didn't go out without a fight!! Haha

Yeah you already took the hard pull, you might as well fight for it! If you do call back just keep in mind that Chase logs it so be prepared to make a compelling case.

My Amazon Chase was the 10th new account since January for me and they didn't deny it.

Well what did you say on recon what were your stats score and had did you explain the new accounts etc. plz answer back on that would ya want to go guns cocked u know what I mean. I want that dam chase az Visa bad now I'm feeling determined to snatch it up from them on one of these recon calls! So Vulcan advice how did you do it do you already have chase

CSR mentioned to work on your profile and re-app in a few months, what's the harm in that. Who knows maybe then if you're approved SL may be more than a toy limit you might receive after a recon call approval.

To get better answers on how to recon, how about being specific on how many new accounts you have and answer the question everyone is asking? If you have for example, 15 new accounts then I suggest you wait.

To recon, you have to be able to debunk what the first analyst said. So if the 1st analyst tells you - "you have too many new accounts", then tell us I have X amount of new accounts and how should I recon this since I really want the Chase account..

If not, we can give you suggestions and you will recon until the cows comes home and still not get approved.

Getting a denial for inquiries overturned will be difficult. Any major events like moving, job change or searching for lower APRs?

No problem and thanks for answering. This is just to help you get the best answers. I have seen people with more accounts get approved. Do you have any Chase cards now? Also, how many inquiries on each bureau before we get to work on the recon.

You have 30 days to get a card approved when it comes to Chase. If it is a must have card for you then be ready to get to work to recon until approved.

Plan A- If you dont have a Chase Card.

When you call the 2nd time, don't say you called before. If they don't bring it up then don't also bring it up. But you are going to say " I applied for the Amazon card and wanted to see if there is anything else needed to further process my application. If the analyst says you have too many accounts like the 1st analyst then be sincere and say, I know I have a lot of new accounts. My error was not getting my MUST HAVE CARD which is the Amazon card before getting the others. I do shop alot on Amazon and infact, if closing some of these account will enable me get the card, I'd do it (You are not going to close any account). You are just throwing the thought out there - giving the impression you will do anything for this card.

So far, you can see on my report that all my accounts have been in good standing and I'd like to be given a chance to prove myself. I don't want a big limit but a small one to get started... Then wait and see what the analyst says.

Plan B- If you have a Chase card.

If you currently have a chase card then offer to move a small limit over to open the amazon card.

Report back with results.
