Lowe's 7-10 day decision

My TU FICO8 is 757 with no baddies at all. I do have 11 inquiries over the past year and several new accounts this year, but no derogs

I just applied for a LOWEs card and received a message that I would receive a decision in 7-10 days and there was a reference number it asked me to write down or print.

Anyway have this before? Is there a number I can call to find out more information or should I just wait for the letter?

Call! It's a verification thing. I got the same message and was told to call within 48 hours with the reference # or wait for the 7-10 letter. I was approved. They sent a text message to my cell phone to help verify. Tried for a recon for a higher starting cl, but the rep wanted to HP me again. Told me to unfreeze my report. Will try again when I get the card in hand.

That's sort of what I thought when the app asked me about sending a text to my phone, but then when I clicked submit, it went to the page with the ref#.

what number should I call? When I called the number KayKay provided (thank you, KayKay!), it was hard getting a live person without my already having an account number. When I did, she couldn't help me or switch me because her phone was stuck in 'conference' status she said. :/

Thanks again to both of you! I had found a number posted by Creditaddict on another thread from last year and called it. It was definitely a verification thing and they sent me a text and I veified the code in the text and he said Congratulations, you're approved with a SL of $2K, your card will be mailed out, etc etc.. (should receive it in usual amount of days)

Yay. So is that a good SL or should I call when it arrives and request an increase?

Call back and recon and ask for 35k. Not joking. Call I believe Credit Solutions.. It is in the stick thread.

They should counter... Say you doing a whole kitchen remodel or something if they ask why, which they won't... And you don't want to have over x percent utilization etc... Shouldnt even get that far, they will counter.

Someone will correct me if this isn't the right # as I don't have a lowe's card nor ever dealth with credit solutions, just know they take care of the vast majority of the Sync. Bank card which lowes is.. Ony thing I ever reconned from Sync. Bank is Care Credit and that is a different beast in itself. Best of luck and hope that is the number, which I believe it is!

They should counter... Say you doing a whole kitchen remodel or something if they ask why, which they won't... And you don't want to have over x percent utilization etc... Shouldnt even get that far, they will counter.

This is correct info. and don't be afraid.they will counter or with your score. give you the entire 35k. and it is a SP. good luck.

Thank you!! That definitely worked! There was only one problem, (not for me though). It was difficult to understand the rep (his accent, my bad hearing) and somehow there was confustion because he thought I asked for $10K, when I never got to a chance to request any amount.

He said he had to review my credit report and a minute or two later told me I had been approved for the $10K I requested.

I just let it go because I'm happy with that, and didn't want to press my luck with the communication barrier! Thank you again, CreditCuriosity!!

Thanks again to all of you! I am really hoping this will help with my credit mix. Right now I have two new auto loans (from March) reporting that is $44K and only about $2K in revolving so it always shows that 100% of my credit is installment credit. Until my youngest can establish a little more credit history and and refinance his auto in his name, my installment % will be more.

This and the $2K increase walmart just gave me on recon should help a little

I got exactly the same message with eBates, also issued by Synchrony. It was just verification.
