Nasa Membership. and CC

Ok. after reading over and over again about nasa.I finally decided to join. with the support of irish80 as well. after reading his replys and answers.

so i think im a member now. When should i app for the credit card? not sure as my fico on ex is only 701 hoping to get one of the massive limits. at least 10k. any advice taken. as i will problbly do it no later than tomorrow. will it be the same pull as i have read? or sp?> thanks Taxi.

It will be a separate pull for CC. While most individuals have reported SP (mine was SP for both membership and CC); and as Irish mentioned in the other thread, it could potentially be HP, no guarantees and YEMV. You'll know when you apply (check your monitoring service).

Thanks Fin. Just pulled the trigger on the Credit card. however it said it is under review and to keep checking i guess.or someone will contact me. not sure what to make of this. it did not give the famous 7-10 day message. not sure if any of this is instant anyway. nothing from monitoring service as of yet. about hp. so fingers crossed on that. if they do. i will still be ok. I know i will need to carry balances later in the year. so im trying to do it with low interest card. looks like that classic card said rates from 9.99 apr. that would be my best apr if i can get it. and i would be all on it. how long does it take to find out?

You can check the status of your application via this link with your current User ID registration:

For some reason. im not seeing that anywhere. I know i apped for it. it shows the membership was instant approved. just not sure what happend to the credit card app. i don't get that what would you like to do today.

Below is all i see when i log in. and i know i was logged in when i did the credit card. it did say membership may be required if approved for credit card. maybe its all seperate. im not sure. here is a image. I don't see anything about the actual Credit Card. when i log in. i can log in to see this using my email address. and i can log in to other with my new account number. but nothing there. i will just contact them tomorrow. The site is kind a pain to navigate and wasn't designed very well imo and is very confusing for first time users.. haven't been on it in quite a while. Best of luck on your approval. Good CL's and APR's though or sure!

Congrats on membership! I wasn't instantly approved for either membership or CC but appd at the same time. Has to upload my DL at their request and once the approved my membership i called it to see about the CC as I couldn't even see the CC app. Rep looked it up told me it looked like it was approved and I should have gotten emailed docs to sign; told her I never did and she put me on hold came back a few min later and told me docs were just sent over. Opened the docs reviewed everything (limit and apr all states there) and "signed" the docs. Overall pretty seamless but they sent the card to my physical address instead of my mailing address so no CC yet just a limit looking at me from my account page. LOL

Good luck Taxi. NASA approved my membership and a card simultaneously and neither was a HP. I don't know what you're looking at in terms of HP in your situation. Are any of your CR frozen?

I have 9 hp's in the last year. I don't care if they hp. I will call about the credit card later. No. I don't have anything frozen. And report crystal clean. Just lots of accounts in last 2 years.

I was thinking about apping NASA last week. Do they usually pull EX exclusively (790 EX FICO / 8.5 AAOA) ??? Are they INQ sensitive or new account sensitive ??? I have 12 INQ's on my EX and 5 new accounts reporting now, with 5 more that will hit in the next couple of weeks. I won't app if they're INQ sensitive, but if they're not, would it be best to app prior to these new accounts reporting or after ??? Unfortunately these new accounts have 15K - 20K CL's whereas my highest reporting now would be 5500.
But not sure waiting and having another 5 new accounts reporting would be a good idea, even though the CL's are significantly higher. I think I'm best staying in the weeds for awhile, but I was hoping for SP's. Thanks.

My membership was a SP and I had an initial decline for the CC. I called for a recon and the CSR said they only accept written recons and they are reviewed a few times per week by the credit committee.

So I wrote them a long but truthful letter about losing my 100K+ job, medical bills, divorce, my beer got warm, my dog left me, the roof started to leak, a stray cat invaded my garage, my car took a massive dump and I stubbed my toe: All within the same quarter of 2009 which forced me to file BK7 in JAN2011. They approved me within one hour. The did a HP on the recon though.

I just had the same happen to me. Instant account approval, apped for the CC and then the under review message. I can't find any reference to it on the portals it points to, either.

Did you have any luck finding yours?

I'm sorry to hear that. Warm beer is truely the worst.

No. i ended up calling them on the phone and they told me i was denied. Too many recent accounts.
