Help - Commenity Bank - Is this a Denial?

Hello, I applied for Express and The Limited. I tried the shopping cart trick but nothing would pop up so I decided to just apply and get the Hard Pull. I received a letter for each card requesting for me to call to verify within the next 14 days. I called right away and all they told me is that they needed to confirm that this was indeed my address and that by me calling them, that was all that I needed and that I will receive another letter in the next 7 to 10 days. Is this a Denial? I've been reading that it looks like when you get that call to verify message, you usually call back and they approve for a $250 limit. But this was not the case with me. I have to wait for another letter and I have a feeling that it will just be a denial letter. Has this happened to anyone? Has anyone received the call to verify letter, to then be told that they will see another letter and be actually an approval one?

It could be a denial, or maybe not....what is your profile like? Do you know your FICO scores? Inquiries? Anything negative on your credit report?

Unfortunately with me it was a denial. I got a letter a couple of times when I applied for a BJs Mastercard. Called in and verified info, then was told they would continue to process the application...but it was a denial. I have had a few different cards with Comenity, but they didnt want me to have a BJs Mastercard. :-(. But I hope you get an approval. Please keep us posted!

Thanks for being positive SteelCity, but I think it is definitely a denial. I will off of my seat if it isn't. My scores are EQ 508, EXP 512 TU 549. I was approved for a victoria secret, I just dont' think comenity wants to extend any additional credit to me until they see how I handle VS. I'm trying to rebuild my credit and was hoping for another approval, but this garden has plenty of weeds that I need to dig out. I got to be patient so I will patiently wait on the denial letters.
