Chase sapphire or venture

I only spend like 1500 a month. I don't eat out that much . Credit score is average 715 now . I want to travel back to Aruba . Which card should I apply for now ? I would only be traveling like 1-2 times per year .

What that spend and amount of travel, forget travel cards. You can't justify them. Do not go for the marketing. IMO, you're best suited with a cashback card and saving up your cashback and deducting it from your travel expensies, since they are so rare.

A solid general spend card like Double Cash/Quicksilver or a rotating 5% card, or both, will likely net you more than paying an AF for a travel card.

Yeah I was debating American Express blue card preferred . I spend about 600 a month on groceries .

You'd get more out of that than a travel card, with that spend (600 out of your 1500 a month is spent on groceries, though?)

KDM is right...but to answer your question, I personally would pick the CSP since you only spend about 1600/month. if youre looking for a higher CL, i would go with Venture.

Yeah most of my bills can't get paid by credit card . In sure with other expenses I spend more like 2k . I was just being very conservative .

A $400 sign up bonus and no annual fee for the first year is hard to pass up. Venture and apply for QS at the same time. After a year now that CO is letting individuals consolidate CL transfer Venture to QS.

CAPTOOL is like that devil on your shoulder egging you on . I remember when debating on whether to apply for the CSP or maybe it was the Freedom. I couldnt make up my mind...but there was CAPTOOL...right behind my ear..whispering...."Did you app yet"??

Going to wait another week . Requested higher limits on my other capital one cards . When that goes thru I will get the venture .
