Magic score needed for mastercard synchrony cards

I have 4 synchrony backed stores cards that I got within the last week. My Transunion score is sitting at 642. What score do I need to get the mastercard versions?

Congrats on your cards. Im gonna say 680 plus will get you most of them. The closer to 700 the better.

I was not able to get any synch mc or visas until my fico was 698-720.

same here - no MC lovin sucky-sucky-love-you-long- time until my TU score was at least 715.

Applied for Ebates card with 698 and 16 inquires on TU--Declined. Applied 2 months later with 748 and 19 inquires on TU--Approved for 5000

Well, it's true! Synch is a strange beast to deal with when it comes to their branded Mastercards.

Do they offer you the mc upgrade automatically when your score rises or do you have to ask for it?

I don't know. I closed the store cards and waited for my scores to go over 700 before dipping my toes into the Synch waters again. I would have been pissed if I got another store card

Yes, hate to say it but they're easier to get the higher your score is. Mine was 742 at the time. I would hold out for those. Less store cards the better.

My daughter had a 750 score when she got hers. She had store card and they sent the mc version without asking and she had a balance on store card.
I have a store card with 0 balance and tu of 770 and they haven't sent mc for me though. So just don't know there criteria.

742 is higher than I would say is needed but I couldn't agree more with your thinking. Until your scores are near there, and they will get there, don't apply for anymore (store) cards.

Since we are talking Synchrony and i don't have any of their mastercards except Paypal. Which i got at about 680 i think iirc. I tried for ebates around Xmas time and was at 687 Declined. Not sure if i should give it another go. as im at 731 Tu . 2 inquiries. but i still have 5 new accounts in the last 6 months. Any body think my chances are good??

Personally I would go for a different card with your TU scores being that high that yields better benefit, unless you really shop at EBATES and would utilize it... I think you would be approved though, but believe there are better option out there such as the FID Amex which will pull TU if done right if you are looking for a TU puller or something similiar.

Nah don't need a special account at all.. Also a link for a $50 bonus as well I will post here if interested. $50 dollars for $500 spend.. link should work for you.. I have money with Fidelity and a Fid Cash Management Acct., but they aren't needed. I think I got the offer due to the cash management account or 403/401 accounts, but it isn't needed. It asks for Fidelity account # and amount you have invested to determine CL, but not required, just so they can advertise to you...

Same here. Got my first MC (PayPal) at 703. Got my Ebates Visa at 712.

Go for Ebates, taxi, I'll be your cheering section! My Ebates card was just put in the mail to me today so I am excitedly awaiting it. Give it a try!
