Denied for amazon store card

I think it's a denial. I app'd for walmart yesterday and got a SL of $700. Tried for amazon last night and got "Thank you for applying, you'll receive a decision by mail in 7-10 days."

Is this a denial? Does it matter that I app'd for walmart and amazon on the same day?

Well after looking at your fico scores in your Sig. i would say it is probably a Denial. 620 is probably about the average approval. Walmart can be much less strict for approvals. So congrats on that. Not in all cases is it a denial. The only way to find out is call them.

meh maybe a denial. sorry tejas mama. hopefully it isn't but then again they may see you apped from the same bank twice in a day maybe they're just reviewing it. those are typically 3-5 day messages though

don't forget to garden your first cards for 6 months and just work on CLI's.

if you wait to app you will get higher starting limits and be much better off in a year.

(please note the 1k Chase Amazon in my sig... i should have waited on that one like i did on the rest)

Taxi, those scores are not up to date. My TU is 631 now.

Probably a denial. When I applied earlier this year I got an instant approval for $1400. I have found when that when it says we will notify you in so many days etc etc that is a denial.

Yeah, I called customer service and it's a denial. Damn. I love amazon, was really hoping I could get the card.

On a brighter note, the customer service rep thanked me for being a valued amazon store card holder. It must be long night for him ;-)

I agree, get into the 660 range and behave really well with other synchrony accounts. thats how i have gotten bg CLI on existing ones too.

Does anyone have both the chase amazon and the store amazon card? When i applied for the amazon card I was given the chase one, unless i wasnt paying attention. Since then I apped for amazon store and was denied, but have opened 4 synchrony cards in the same time period: BP visa, sams club, ebates, and a chevron visa gas card. (I closed the BP). the amazon denial did not state a low score or my new accounts number as reasons.

How many INQs do you have on TU? Give it a month or two and let some fall off. I love TU because every couple of months an INQ falls off. I have to admit that I have not paid enough attention to see if they pull FICO TU 8 or FICO TU 4. Don't understand it but my FICO 8 TU is 655 but FICO TU4 is 675. Look at the letter and see which score shows up. That way when you apply for some more Synchrony cards then you will know. However, I'm from Texas too and they pulled EX when I applied for Lowe's and also EX for Toys R Us.

Since they denied me, I'm guessing they probly pulled EX but I don't know for sure.

Amazon Store Card pulled TU for me. When I tried for the VISA version, it pulled EX. My score was 655 when I got Amazon.

I was just instantly approved and my FICO 08 is in the 620's for EQ and EX and it was the Amazon Prime Store Card. $700. I do not have a ton of inq's though. Hmmmm

I applied about a week ago with a tu 08 653 and was denied. No lates in four years. The letter they sent said my score was 32 on a scale of 0-999. So ymmv with their store card.

No, inquires fall off after 2 years, but they only count for 1 year. They mean let some age past 1 year.

They aren't counted anymore when they are 12 months.
