Denied NFL Extra Points Reward Card

So i decided i would apply for a final card before letting all my accounts grow until I finish school. I have chase freedom, discover it chrome, and bank americard.

I am a little surprised by the denial for this card.

Any advice to maybe getting another look, or should i let it be and move on?

Do you have recent inquiries? Barclay is not an inquiry fan.

Also, they usually like to see one full year of experience with another major credit card before granting credit for the first time with them.

I had an inquiry 2 weeks ago for my bank Americard.

also don't have a year yet.

this all makes pretty good sense now.

Definitely recon. I had inquiries galore - at least 12 - when I applied, and all were within the last 6 months. Instant approval nonetheless for $500 (which I immediately called and reconned to $1500, btw). Barclays is pretty good about recons, so you have a shot, but given the little info you've given, my guess is that it has more to do with your income level if you're a student. It's possible they view you as "maxed out" for their underwriting purposes.

Sorry to hear about being denied. Got denied too. I've applied 3 times for Barclay and turned down 3 times. Score is good; they always point to limited credit history on me. I thought I would try since TU is my best report, but no go. Good luck. Maybe someday it will happen for you.

Ive been denied twice this year for this card. Im giving it up because I was just denied the apple one visa. Back to the garden I go.
