Member for many years so, I applied for the MC Elite and got the 7-10days! My current Eq, which they HP'd, is roughly 690+/-

I already have the FRN $5K & Sportsmans $4K

and it will ask you if you know your bj cc # and say no.... it will then ask for ssn and other stuff and you might be able to see if you got approved that way..

So could be verification or obviously a denial.. Just have to wait until the letter gets there.. Was hoping that would of worked as it has for me in the past when I have got messages with commedity card that I have applied for(well only total rewards).. Yeah, Comenity has never requested verification before with my other cards. I'll have a 0% BT paid in Sept and Comenity is already in my crosshairs for closure. A denial here will only "seal the deal".

Their scant offers just aren't competitive. BJs would have gottten some use

Funny. had to laughBut why even app for Bjs in that case if they are not that good. Some of their cards are not bad limit wise. But also good for utilization purposes. Not sure even if approved. your limit would be super with them. But ive heard their Sportsman is good. I guess it just depends on your usage. good luck.

The SGV has been decent but, the FRNs only value is a $5K CL, that $5K would be useful on BJs.

I have the BJ's Perks MC and love it. Especially since I get 10 cents off per gallon at the local BJ's. They had a promo recently that you would get 15 cents off per gallon if you bought something inside the warehouse first that day. I was surprised they gave me $9k to start and 14.9% APR. I'll certainly use it if even mostly for the gas perks and PIF each month.

I just sent a SM to Comenity that I'd rather have the BJs elite than the FRN since FRN is useless except for the $5K CL. I understand they don't transfer lines but, I have enough total credit to absorb the loss even if BJs is a denial.

I used FRN once back in 11/14, it languishes in obscurity

Reply from Comenity today, "You must first apply for the BJs MC(which I already did) and wait 7-10 days for the letter" and "FRN & BJs are 2 seperate accounts"

Methinks this is headed to getting rid of Comenity, FRN & Sportsmans just don't offer anything I'm interested in.

Just got the denial letter, "too many INQs" with their own brand of Eq as 894.

Yep, Comenity will be next on the chopping block, despite the decent CLs, they offer nothing that interests me

Wow that is shocking to deny because of too many inquiries, when you are an established customer, with a great score. Do they have a recon line, someone needs to look at your app again, I'm new to the Comenity market, with 9 new accounts in the last month. Sorry about your decline, from your post BJ was a card you really would have put to good use,

In all honesty, I have no clue what version that Eq score represent. I had it pegged about 700+/-

It's not a version of eq. It's there internal scoring system based off your eq report. Remember the report stays the same no matter what scoring model they use.

I have about 6 or 7 of their department store cards (comenity bank) as well as other credit cards. My scores are in the mid 600's and I have applied in 2014, 15 and today and I keep getting denied. I have an impecable payment record and zero collection accounts. The other two years my score was lower, but this year I was sure they would approve me considering it was much higher.... I do groceries there every week and had to renew my membership today. I was hoping to get approved so that I could start using the perks!! I will wait and see what the letter says. Now, because I applied at the counter and they only asked for the last 4 of my social and income will that affect my score to much? Will it be a HP or SP?

If they asked for just the last 4 then that's a SP, full social = HP

Just because they ask for only the last 4 of a social doesn't mean it's a SP. it could go either way as that used to be the way comenity was back a while ago with there vs/mc but not anymore. Most of the time expect a HP on EQ.
