I cant get the shopping cart trick to work! What am I doing wrong? I want restoration hardware and zgallerie sooo bad . But, no hard pulls too many lately. I applied for Talbots and got the contact by mail. can somebody tell what is happening?

Common mistake is to not remove the pop up blockers

Everything pops up but the preapproved. I even opened a new browser. And nothing happens

i just tried the Victoria Secret SCT and i got the pop up. $500 limit. I accepted. I'm a guy..., no idea what the heck i'ma do with this card.....

try that site though. i put my address just as it shows on my credit report.

Also, i too have been trying a lot of places and VS is the only one i have gotten the pop up on smh.

It also doesn't work if you have blocked promotional offers with the credit bureaus.

Neither or the two in BOLD offer SCT's.. Gotta flat out apply for those as stuff is very expensive in those two stores and will need about a 4k+ CL to even really be useful IMO for either of those cards and not knowing your scores not sure if you would qualify?

+1. Not all Comenity CCs are obtainable through SCT.

They have good body soap for guys. The loofahs are good, too (and not all of them are frilly). The candles are nice, too.

I made a thread a long time ago caled "The Men of Victoria's Secret" asking how men typically used their VS cards. I might have to find that topic....

I wasn't able to get the VS pop-up, nor the Restoration Hardware, or West ElmElm, or Crate and Barrel (which are the ones I really want). Though I did get a few others.

However, it does seem, for me at least, that it takes a few weeks to a month or so between popups (JCrew, Modells, Overstock so far.) Not too happy that I accepted Modells as I can't find anything I like realky., but I do need a new vacuum, so Overstock will come in handy.

I wish I'd known about Modell's when I was using the SCT. I picked up 3 cards total but would trade one of them for the Modell's. I just looked at the site and found a jersey that I want. When going through checkout the pop up appeared with an offer but it didn't state the credit limit. I would have like to have known that out of curiosity.

At this point, I don't want to pick anymore store cards so I'll leave it be.

Opt in to receive mailers as well. Chrome didn't work for me but Firefox did (and keeping my cache and history to delete on web page closing).

eddie Bauer is a SCT store too. That's a dude-ish store, no?

A lot of people say VS pop up is the easiest to get to work, but I can't get it. I got it for Overstock, HSN, JCrew, Brylane and Buckle. Also for Talbots but I didn't take that one. I've tried and tried but can't get it.

Ha! It's not that hard. I usually don't have it but I went on an app spree a couple of months ago. I'm now officially gardening for the rest of the year. One of my scores has gained 71 points in just over 2 months. I'm happy with that kind of progres so, now I just live vicariously through others' apps!

A newer thread involving HSN and the trick is you really have to go to the end putting in real credit card info and everything to get it to pop up. I am now a registed email member with them, and was trying, but I gave up. I think overstock and HSN is kinda redundant, they sell the same stuff? The OS gives the deferred financing. Overstock and Rakuten havea visa/MC's but thru FNBO which is super sensitive to bad marks, like us bank and BofA.

Download a new browser thats never been on your machine, I know clearing cookies is the same, but some of us want everything saved

I feel your pain.... I have around 40 SCT cards...but still no HSN

Wow increase of 71 points in two months! I just went on a app spree last month, I hope the results are as great as yours. Gardening now and somewhat bored, lol!

If you app enough, your score drops like a rock. I lost a ton of FICO points from 40 new apps (went from 675 to 598).

I was denied credit everywhere...Fingerhut probably would have denied me at that point. Everything was back to normal after 6 months though.

It's true that FICO scores have no memory....my score rebounded and gained like crazy to 781 now after it was just 598 only 9 months ago.

Nothing heals your app sprees like time in the garden.
