How do I get a 3rd capital one card?

I tried to apply for the venture card and on the system it said something like I have reached the maximum cards I can have can't remember the exact wording. Has anyone encountered this before? If so, what do I do to apply for the venture?

Cap One's limit is 5 cards, not 2.

That is strange. I have 3 Cap1 cards - Quicksilver, Venture, and a Journey card. When I try their pre-qualifier, it's still offering me a QS and Venture. I remember reading once that they only allow 2 sub-prime cards, but allow up to 5 prime cards. Is your QS a QS1 or did you PC it to a QS from a sub-prime card? Also, what was the starting limits on your QS and Platinum cards?

Edit: Also, did you cold app for the Venture or did you get that message trying the pre-qualifier?

You can have 2 sub-prime cards and 5 total cards.. Meaning QS1 and Plat = sub-prime, but you can also have a Venture, etc up to 5 accounts is my understanding.

did you get any alerts that they pulled your three bureaus? If so I would be on the phone fast....

I have 5......Platinum, QS, 2 Ventures and a VentureOne.
