I think you would get hit with an additional hard pull. One is a co-branded card and the other a Chase issued card.

Just posted a few hours ago about being approved for the Marriot Premier in the approvals section. Very excited about that since they wouldn't even talk about reconsideration this time last year. My scores in my sig are way outdated, as are the limits. I have a few 10k+ cards now, and my scores are all in the 710's. What are the odds that Chase will use the same HP for the Sapphire Preferred? The last time I had any bureau pulled was last August, besides EX today. I'm going to be making a couple of large purchases in the coming months, so the spend for the points won't be a problem.

Don't forget the Chase rule when applying for their issued cards. If you apped for other cards within the last 2 years no more than 5.

I agree, I have never had the luck of chase giving me 2 cards with one hard pull but there are many who have.

A Marriott approval should not hinder your chances of getting the CSP. good luck.

Remember that the chase branded cards like CSP are subject to the rule of no more than 5 new accounts in two years.

As far as the same HP, its unlikely. People report it happening occasionally but you shouldnt count on it. Expect two HPs.

OP, as others have mentioned, expect two HPs. If the outcome ends up with one, then great - consider yourself lucky Hopefully you haven't opened an excessive number of accounts in the past 24 months, otherwise, expect the chances for the CSP to diminish.
