Ebates Visa and Credit Solutions

I needed some kicks tonight and need them to be soft pulls lol. So I have had Ebates Visa for 5 months, no cli on it. Use the card often and PIF.

Called up CS just now. Got a gentlement who I got to warm up to me and started the friendly phone vibe. He took down my info and placed me on a brief hold.

He came back 5 minutes later and said im sorry sir I need a few more minutes looking over everything. Im like no problem!

Then he had me on hold for like 15 minutes, Im thinking ok this could be good or bad lol. Well he came back and said im sorry I cant raise the line blah blah letter in mail.

Usually my Credit Solution calls are pretty quick but the Visa/ MC Synch cards are like extremely hard for me to get a CLI via Credit Solutions.

I hit the luv button. It said no can do. Mine started with $3,200 and is still there. I'm gonna chill and be satisfied with Synchrony. Love EBates and my Lowes card.

I think EBates is typically the more challenging one to grow from what I've seen. When I got approved last Oct, the SL was $8K, then not even two months later, they auto-CLI'd to $11,200. I had only charged maybe $200 at most? Now, for me, $11,200 works just fine since I have other SYNCB dual cards with similar or higher CLs plus when I was aproaching the $100K exposure threshold I didn't want to cause waves or trigger AA. Well, they auto-CLI's 3 of my other cards that placed me way over that threshold, no AA or hiccups, and life went on.

Naturally, I went for one more card to see what that would do since I was shopping at Belk's recently. Approved for $3K. So, SYNCB continues to be a mystery.

thanks for the info finstar, synch is definitely a mystery to me with their logic of me today vs tomorrow lol.

maybe they will surprise me with auto cli eventually. or they are just like, he doesnt need anymore credit with that card or us right now he isnt using, i understand haha.

Yes, a mystery indeed. I remember needing some extra wiggle room back in June for my Sams MC since I was making a fairly large purchase. The CL was $5K and I called the folks at Credit Solutions. After a brief hold, they said no, no mister, you haf plenty! Naturally, I thought about using chat but decided not to pursue it. The next day, got up bright and early, was perusing the Sam's website and decided to check my account and hit the CLI link, ta-da! CLI to $8K in 5 seconds. So, as you can see, mystery!

synch- they reward, they mystify, they approve, they disappoint with their approval process store vs visa/mc, low limit me, high limit me.... at least they pretty much like me and once in with their cards, u can be caught by surprise of some nice auto luv, haha.

Well, at least they're consistent in those 4 categories LOL But, you're right, whenever they auto-CLI unexpectedly, it certainly is a welcome surprise!

Ebates Visa is one of the more difficult cards to get and a difficult one to get increased. Keep trying!

True, I was happy I was instantly approved for 3k back in March. Im happy with that for a while. Ill wait about 6 months and try again.

My ebates started at $2,000 increased to $5,000 then $10,000 after 1 year. Could't get it to budge past $10,000. Had it about 2 yrs now. Tried via chat a few weeks ago but was denied. Decided to call credit solutions the following week and bam, approved to $20,000! Was on hold forever. Totally expected another denial or a counter. I did notice when I requested via chat, the denial letter(s) show they were still using a 3-4month old report. Even though the rep assured me the report was updated :-/ But, credit solutions appears to have used an updated one automatically. Good luck for your future cli's! Don't give up

Sorry to hear that OP. I have had more success with Synchrony in the early morning when they first opened or right before they close at midnight EST. There are two numbers to Credit solutions. One appears to be overseas and one stateside. I've had more success overseas than stateside. My ebates card grew quickly to 20k in less than a year from 5k.

Taxi, I've tried my best. I'll just have to wait until my new Banana Republic comes in the mail and request a cli. That'll for sure take me over the hump

From my observations, men analysts are not my favorite. When I get a man, I should just hang up and call back, lady csr's have proven best luck for me.

I really really want the ebates card. I use ebates a lot. And the added 3% would be great, plus their CLs seem to be high too.....paired with Synch not hating me, I think it would be great......

All I want for christmas is a Sams Club Mastercard upgrade invitation and approval for ebates visa!

LOL, I got a NFL card from barclays. Its got a 5,000 limit. However I picked dallas cowboys. Becasue of licensing of less than 5 other teams, it's a mastercard, not a visa.

I have 3 other cards that are flirting with 5k. I have zero free movie tickets options! The credit limit of itself is not a biggie to me because ebates has no 0% interest oprions, its a buy tools and PIF'er for sure, but still...if you dont have any...
