I believe you have to call in to request a CLI, and its a HP.

To my knowledge, Chase has no love button.

You can send in your request via the message center or call in to request a CLI, but both will result in a HP.

I will say that for my Chase Slate I received an email from Chase telling me I had an available credit limit increase, and all I had to do was update my income. The email provided me with a link, and I was approved. It seemed shady at first to receive such an email, but it worked!

There's no button, as mentioned.

Chase basically discourages CLI requests. You have to call and/or secure message and take a HP. Usually (but not always!) the increases are pretty dinky for the HP.

With Chase it's easiest to just assume and accept that your starting limit is your limit. If they auto CLI you at some point, great, count yourself lucky. But I wouldn't waste a HP. Too many reports of $500 bumps from a HP.

This is my story with chase, approved for freedom with 13k limit ( denied at first, thanks to myfico i reconed), then the auti cli to 19k, after that i got a letter in the mail to update income and request cli with a sp 23K new limit. CSP approved for 15k, at some point I recievced an email that a cli of 1k is available if i wanted to accept it.

I use the freedom a lot every month and do weekly payments, i even maxed it few times. Both times i recived the cli after reducing my high balance, so I guess chase like to see you using the limit they give you. I hope this helps, good luck.

The button is on your phone. It is activated by calling the number on the card. 😁

Didn't realize Chase was generally considered difficult to receive CLI from.

Since receiving my CSP card 2 weeks ago, i've put a tick over $10,000 of spend thru it, made a $5,000 payment yesterday, and will make another $5,000 payment today to pay in full. My credit limit of $9,600 is too low! What would be the best method to obtain a CLI from Chase? I'm not planning to do it this moment, maybe early next year.

1) Apply for another Chase credit card with the intention of merging it with my CSP. If i do this:

1a) Does the new card need to participate with Ultimate Rewards to be able to merge with CSP? Can it be merged with a Chase Ink Plus business card? I have a Hawaii State Tax ID but i do not have a Federal Tax ID so i don't even know if i will qualify for a business card. A business card is particularly enticing to me because i plan to make a $8k purchase soon and keep that balance while making more than minimum payments.

1b) Which Chase UR card is typically the most generous with high credit limit? Once again, i'll consider a business card.

1c) Or would you recommend another CSP to try to get another sign up bonus? With the intent to merge later. *I do not want to piss off Chase. If this is a no-no with them, please let me know.

2) Call the regular customer service line and request for a CLI at the expense of 1 HP. I'm pretty sure i will at least get a small CLI, but of course i'm hoping for more than just a small bump. Whatever the outcome, call the recon line and ask to double my current total.

3) Or do BOTH. First do #1, then call customer service to do #2, but asking if they can use the same HP for both though i don't mind getting two pulls.

Sorry a lot of thinking out loud here. Your help is much appreciated.

If you want to increase the limit fast the best way would be to apply for another Chase card like the Marriot or Ritz and then move some or all of the limit over to the CSP.

You cannot have 2 CSP's and Chase only allows 1 bonus per product every 24 months so you wouldnt qualify for another bonus.

If you can wait 6 months, Chase is likeley to increase your limit of you charge up the card and pay in full. My CSP was increased from 7 to 11K at 6 months. I had used mots of the limit all 6 months and PIF.

Chase seems to give very generous SL on the Ritz and MArriot card. They gave me 23 on Ritz and 20 on Marriot but will depend on score and income.

From what I've experienced and read lately, Chase gives Generous auto CLI to those who use their current limits. I would relax and not micromanage the chase cards like you would Amex. I think they like to see a balance.

I have recieved auto CLIs on 2 of my 4 Chase cards. of the 2 that didnt get any are my slate card which I only used for the balance transfer promotion and had to request a higher CL from the start for it and my Sapphire card which i use at most 10% of the CL any given month.

the 2 I recieved it, 1 was AARP which was a very small limit and I was at 80% or more utli and it was onyl after the first month. the 2nd was freedom that had heavy usage and I recieved it after 2 or 3 months and was an additional $3k or so after doing 50% utilization. If you keep using the card as you are you should see some auto love in no time. I would let them give you some first before you go any other way to get a CLI.

It really depends. I was approved for both Venture and QS for the same amount on each - $50K back in July. Anecdotally, Venture has been *recommended* as that's what has been reported on these and other forums since the minimun CL for Venture is $5K, but again, a small subset to consider all applicants as a whole.

With Chase, there have been folks who get massive approvals for CSP or Freedom (not as many reported these days though due to policy changes) and the same goes for the likes of United, Hyatt, Marriott, IHG etc. By the same token, others do not get those high SL approvals on their cards, even though most tend to lean toward co-branded as being more generous - it still all depends on the overall profile.
